Hey Bandit..... Since yours is similar to mine in the fact that you still have your sport flares do you happen to have any pics of how you modified your fenders?? Just looking for some ideas right now. I started a few rough cuts today but still have a ways to go.

Unfotunately, I didn't take any pics while cutting/pounding. But I did pretty much the same thing that everyone else does, and several others have documented it with pics. I did end up cutting a little off the sport flares too though (just behind the front tires only). Good luck.

35x12.50R17 Pibull Rockers, love em! I threw in the new Camburg UCAs so now that they clear I can start pounding/cutting sheet metal.

And the first attack with the jigsaw and sledge. Gonna continue the black to follow the old lines and the use either the 3M coating or maybe Monsterliner.

Quick question for you guys running 35's...

What did you do with the washer fluid tank to prevent rubbing on it? Mind hits towards the bottom of it pretty good, I tried just removing the pump but it still contacts the tank as well. Ideas??

No pic. It hits down on the bottom outside corner near where the pump mounts. Running stock 5 star's with 1.25" spacer.

I haven't had this problem either. Maybe my 1.5" body lift makes the difference?

I had to take the washer tank off. My 35's were just going to rip it off. So no window spray anymore. I just dump a water bottle on the window and use the wipers.

I removed mine too, there was no way it was going to clear the tires. I have an aftermarket P/S fluid reservoir that I'm going to use with an inline pump. My 4Runner is my daily driver, and we get a lot of snow, so I need something. It will not hold as much as the stock unit, but it should be enough to get me where I'm going without stopping half a dozen times.

I only had to remove the pump for the rear window sprayer, but I was able to keep the fluid reservoir and the front pump and I don't have any rubbing there anymore. I just plugged the hole for the rear pump with a wine cork.

I have the 315 Cooper STTs (they run 34.5" tall and 11.75" wide at 30 psi - as J-money$$$ mentioned earlier). I also have a 1" BL, stock 5 star wheels, and 1" wheel spacers. I do rub on the frame when fully turned, but it isn't that bad. There isn't much I can do about it anyways. I also rub the UCAs when it's fully drooped and turning, but it just wipes the dirt off, no big deal either. But... that's all after I cut my fenders back ~1" and pounded the firewall back about 1.5". That's my 315 MTR spare in this pic BTW. The old MTRs run the same size as my Cooper STTs. The new MTR Kevlars (like J-money$$$ and Dirtco have) are about .5" taller and .5" wider..

After trimming about 2" off the back of the inner lip on each rear fender, the only thing I rubbed in the rear was the gas filler tube cover (in the D/S wheel well). That is until it got torn off during the last wheelin trip. No rubbing anymore. I also extended my rear bump stops 1.5". I cut a 3" rubber mallet in 1/2 and used the 2 halves as spacers..

You are gonna have to do a write up this - I am rubbing my 33" tires on my reservoir too. I think they clear with my body lift in but when I get 35"s they certainly won't.

The black plastic covering mine is pretty shredded... Living where there is snow and lots of road grime I can't live without a wiper reservoir.

Yea I figured I would have to start looking around for something a bit smaller. Only thing I want to try first is to heat it and see if I can kind of remold that bottom corner where it rubs. Anyways, got the lift and tires on today!!!
