Oil above Drive Shaft

Hi everyone,

Just noticed this oil underneath the truck. Can't really determine where it is coming from. There is oil on the torsion bar too. You can see where it is dripping off the bolts. The driver side is dripping onto the exhaust. Any ideas?

Output shaft seal is leaking would be my bet. Oil gets thrown around when driveshaft spins

I concur. Looks exactly like when mine was leaking.

Thanks guys, appreciate the help! I will start doing some research on how to fix it. Put that one on the list...

From the looks of where the oil is spreading;
1) Most likely +1 to all of the above, OR
2) Just excess grease oozing out of the U-joint and drive shaft telescoping thingy (This was the case on mine when I bought the truck).

O.P.,
It would be good practice, before taking things apart to:
1) Check your gear oil level, and
2) Inspect and clean the around the output shaft/seal and observe it for a couple of weeks.
