Oil cooler O-ring and seal replacement

I just bought the parts for this job (see photo below for part #s).

I've searched and haven't seen any write-ups on this replacement. Any help is appreciated. If I can't find anything I'll just try my best and make a write-up.

Wife's at a Miranda Lambert concert tonight (whoever that is) I'm occupied with our 1 year old. So I'll try to do this tomorrow. Going to pick up an oil filter and some oil tomorrow. I'm do for an oil change anyways.

I just had my mechanic tackle this last week. Firestone told the PO it was the rear main seal. My guy sprayed everything down to clear the gunk that was holding my oil in and found it was that O-ring. 20 years weren't kind to it.

He was able to get it drained and replaced in about an hour. Unfortunately I wasn't there when he did it, so I can't comment on how - but he did say it was surprisingly easy.

Haven't leaked a drop of oil since it got replaced! Good luck!

I was told this wasn't too hard. I was also told I had a rear main seal leak and an oil cooler gasket leak. So, I'm gonna try this myself and hope that the dealer was just trying to get some $$$ from me. We will see. If this doesn't stop 80% of the leaking oil then I'll be looking into doing a rear main seal job myself....which I don't want to do.
