Oil Leak Driver's Side

Hey guys, sorry to hi-jack this thread with an unrelated question, but I lurk on the forum too much to post my own thread and cannot seem to fine the right search to get to my answers.

In the image of this thread with the oil filter, What is the connector that is at the very top? I replaced my alternator this weekend and noticed the wire from that connector had broken off. Any idea what that Sensor does? I am not getting a check engine light, just trying to figure out how urgent it is to get it repaired.

Did a little research it looks to be oil pressure sending unit. Makes sence for the location. Even if it's not some one thought it's important so I would fix it. :hatsoff:

Very similar problem. However one wrench to throw in! 3rd Gen, 320K, 5VZ Engine.

Replaced the timing, all seals (cams and crank seals) all belts. Shortly after, I noticed oil accumulating on driveway and underneath vehicle. Mainly leaking from the driver side. Washed the whole engine to get a better look and found the below pictures:

Any thoughts to the 2 begin related? I pulled the front timing cover back and looked between the pulleys. Both the left and right pulleys seemed dry. Obviously a lot harder to get to the crank seal to see if that could be the source. But as the pictures will show, the space above where the leak is is dry. I am thinking it is not any of the seals and the leak is a new source that is unrelated???????

Seems unlikely that they would not be related????????
