It is with much sadness that I share I will be selling one of my prize possessions tomorrow, my 08' Suzuki GSX-R 750. The good news is that I will make some money from the sale to allocate toward my other passion... I call him Old Grey.

I bought Old Grey in 2010, he had just 34k miles. About a year ago I got the mod bug and started with some serious in car entertainment (see signature line). Right now he has 96k miles on him and I have had zero problems. I plan on keeping this truck forever and really like the rugged off road look. There are some great trails close to my house and Ocala Nat'l Forest is just a few hours away, so I want my truck to perform well on as well as off-road.

As he sits currently, I have ProComp 2.25" spacers up front, Daystar 1.5" spacers in the rear and stock coils/springs. Tires are Nitto Grapplers size 285/70/17. Together, I measured 4 inches of lift in the front and 3" in the rear. Measurements were taken before/after tires/spacers were added from the top of the wheel wells. Not bad... But I want more.

I also have spider trax wheel spacers, but have not put them on yet because I figure it is a good ideas to change the brake pads while I have the tires off. That in mind, I ordered some EBC green stuff pads. Unfortunately, they are on a 30 day back order.

As I said before I want more lift. So I think my next step is going to be a Roger Brown 1.5" body lift. To round out the suspension I am going to go with Bilstein 5100's and OME 886 lift springs. I can't help but wonder if anyone has left their spacers on with the upgraded coils/shocks... I am going with the 886's because I have also decided I want to order a Domello front bumper in the not too distant future.

In the end I would love to be able to fit 35's and accomplish 6 inches of lift.

Since you have a 2WD I'd like to make a suggestion. Do lift spindles if you can afford it. You can get a lot of lift without preloading, or spacers. Maxtrac spindles are pretty cheap and are still decent. Total Chaos and Camburg make some really nice ones if you're going to be doing any prerunning, but they are pricey.

v6 or v8? the demello doesn't weigh as much as you think, and 886 may be overkill, take a look at [MENTION=84676]Tayzorz[/MENTION] 's build, he has a demello and 885's on billies and can attest to how much lift you're gonna see
 
I read through Travis' thread. He only has a half inch more lift than I do now with the spacers. To fit 35's I will need a lot more space.
 
Spidertrax...

Well, I finally got around to putting my spidertrax on tonight. I went from having absolutely no rubbing, to rubbing like crazy:frusty:

I was planning on doing H.I.D. high/low beams, fogs and new tint this week. Guess I am going to have to table that project for a while.

This rig needs more lift!!! Next up, 4 crawler 1.5" body lift. Anyone know how much I should budget for installation?

Installed all new H.I.D. lights today. High beams, low beams and fog lights. I like the bluish Hugh of the 8k's so I decided to go with them. I've got my eye on the CBI ditch lights but am torn as to whether I should get them with flood or spot lights. Does anyone know if the Rigid lights are worth the extra $80 from the Bean?
 
4 Crawler 1.5" Body Lift

Installed the 4 Crawler 1.5" BL today. I'm not going to lie, it wasn't easy. Took me most of the day and I still have to drop the radiator and put on the steering shaft spacer tomorrow. Gotta say the rig looks awesome though.
 
Now sitting at 38.25" in the front and 40" in the rear. Approximately 6" higher in the front and 5" rear from the stock measurements:guitar2:

how much of your fender have you trimmed? i have 265/70's and cut a solid amount out of the front fenders and i have minimal clearance on the mudflap

I trimmed a good amount. It is rubbing on the bottom right hand corner of the wheel well, on the painted surface. I am not too keen on cutting it.

I know. All of the underpinnings are kind of ugly. I am thinking about putting the stock running boards back on until I can afford some Demello or CBI sliders. I definitely decided on a CBI front bumper because they are offering it with winch for like $900. That would take care of my rubbing issues.
 
Just finished the hydrocarbon filter delete mod. I also disconnected the battery for 15 minutes to reset the ECU. Looking forward to an increase in horsepower and better mpg's!

Yep, I have roughly 4" in the front and 5" in the rear (over stock) and I still had a ton of rubbing. I cut 3" off the inner-side of the fender, in 45 deg angle, and I moved the entire liner forward about 4" using all the factory hardware. It actually looks like it should have come from the factory!

These are 285-75-16 M/T's and now I have almost 3" of lock-to-lock clearance between the tire and the fender. I also performed the body-mount chop the same day, because I know that would have been the next issue.
