OME suspension ride comfort and steering wheel question.

For anyone who has had any experience with OME suspensions, how are they on ride comfort? I mean the Medium, not the HD. I've had an 04 4Runner for 2 years now, and I can't take the harsh ride anymore. Any improvements with it..? Small..drastic?

Also, my steering wheel is always slightly tilted to the right. Even when traveling straight. It doesn't deviate from a straight line, but it's annoying me.

Typically lifts will end up a little firmer than stock ride, so if anything, it may end up harsher than before.

As for the steering wheel, an alignment shop should be able to fix that for you.

OME suspesion has been around a LONG time. They make great suspensions. Many people swear by em'.
I ride comfort is definitely there. They make several springs for each application, this way, you get to pick which coil is better going to fit your load capacity needs. Which is how they keep a comfortable ride either with stock weight, or with a bumper and winch on it.

There are small limitations on the OME, but you almost always get what you pay for. Many people would consider the OME suspension an improvement over stock ride.

I've been riding around now for a year on my OME set up from ToyTec. I love it still. I can tell the ride is stiffer, but that is what I want from a vehicle that I'm setting up for off road use. I rode to work with a coworker last week in her Honda Civic. I thought I felt every difference in the road over my 4Runner in that little car. Maybe it just takes a little perspective change. Time to go ride the same roads in a different car and see if you notice a difference.

2) Do you sell 883 springs?
3) Do you sell the OME95PF5 front spacer? It’s the 5mm spacer that works well to get the lean out.

1)I just got off the phone with ARB/OME and they stated to me that the n139S is an old shock that is not in production. They still have some left. But once they are gone, they are gone. He stated they are a 'lighter' valved shock. But they have been superceeded by the N190S. Which is now being superceeded by the Sport version of that shock, which we do carry.

2)Since you are running stock bumpers, you definitely would NOT want to go with the 883. It's a pretty heavy coil. But yes, we sell the full Toyota line up of the OME springs! Pretty much always in stock with that gear.

3)Yes, we sell the OME95PF5.

I haven't really heard a life span for the OME gear. But I would say depending on use, 3-6 years...

2 years seems a bit early.

Good info, thanks. I am now confused though... From what I read the 883 is the same as the 884 but 375mm in length instead of the 884's 385mm. The rate is the same I think. The 139S is/was a lighter valving for the front of a 4th gen T4R. The link you show is for an earlier one I think. Does it in fact fit a 4th gen too?

For my conservative tastes that would be my choice for my '07 V6 4wd when the time comes.

Acutally, the 884's are 390mm. And yes, the spring rate is the same.
The 884 is the standard duty OME spring for the 07 4runner.
