On long road trip or west..Instrument cluster lit up by 4 runner performing "Normal"
In the middle of a 1600 mile road trip out west. Mid morning yesterday, driving along and my instrument cluster lights up and flashing like crazy (tachometer jumping like crazy, speedometer pegged at zero, vsc, abs, a trac, ebrake, 4x4, 4lo all lift solid or flashing rapidly). I immediately pull off, but the 4runner is for discussion handling, accelerating and braking normal.
Turn the vehicle off... Lights clear. Im thinking Abs sensor damage (full disclosure. I had just driven off a curb after getting gas, and this occurred ~5 miles later.
The stranger part to me. The panel lit up again.. This time I was unable to pull off, but after a a mile all lights cleared except for the abs and traction control.
I finally pull off, turn vehicle off and investigate the front tires. No obvious visual damage. I decided to limping the next town with services expecting this issue to continue, except it doesn't. No more xmas lights on the instrument cluster.
Am I good to go? Yes I've searched as well as I can from my phone... No previous abs harness damage thread indicates that the issue could clear themselves while driving.
Thoughts? I got into Boise late last night... Going to call a dealer asap this am
