One accidental turn on pavement in 4X4 with Trail Edition

I like to exercise the 4WD in town every once in a while on a straight road. Before turing I disengage the 4wd and go on my way. Today I forgot I was in 4WD and made a left turn. I could feel the resistance while turning and knew something was wrong. I have heard this causes binding in the transfer case. Did this one time mistake do any damage?

like ^ said, you'll be fine. I think everyone makes it out to be something comparable to pouring water down your intake, and it gets everyone a little scared like they did something wrong. I mean c'mon guys it's well engineered and its a Toyota.

Your tires will probably slip on dry pavement before something breaks, just don't go doing lock-to-lock turns and you wont run into binding issues, etc.
