Ok, I have a question. I already did a search but didn't really find any concrete advice. I have a 99 T4R, 4x4, 3.4 V6, auto with 265k miles. Yesterday as I was driving to a favorite mountain biking location I came to a red light kind of abruptly because I was cut off by some jacka$$. Anyway, when the light turned green I hit the gas to get around the above mentioned person but my girl would hardly move. The engine sounded a little strange, not quite backfiring but sort of sputtered, almost like it was in a "limp home", the rpm's wouldn't really climb and just slowly started to move. I got off the gas and just lightly accelerated until I could get over to the shoulder but by then it started to run almost normal. I was only 1/4 mile from where I wanted to go so I just drove it to the parking lot and shut it off. I re-started it and revved the engine up, all was good so I drove it around the parking lot and it seemed to be ok. The CEL never came on or blinked. No smoke from the exhaust, nothing. I popped the hood and checked the vitals, everything was in order, fluids all good and clean, plug wires on and tight, no leaks of any kind. After my bike ride I fired it up and drove it home down the freeway at 75 mph with no problems whatsoever. I haven't tried pulling codes yet, I plan to take a look tonight when I get home. Here's a list of all of the recent maint. items already performed- oil and filter, trans flush, plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, Seafoamed. I have put about 200-300 miles on it since I did all of the maint. It already has new catalytic converters and O2 sensors and the timing belt was replaced 25k mi ago. The only thing I can think of is a possible fuel starvation, possibly the fuel pump may have had a hiccup or something. Anyone have any thoughts?
