OPOR Sliders Installed

Good call, I'll lower them until I have time to grind it down to bring them back up. My passenger side is uneven, ran out of time this weekend.

Also found that one side sits forward and the other sits further back. Would mind it sitting back so I can get my Mud Flaps back on but would like them to be the same on both sides.

I had the same thing happen to me. I notified MetalTech and they said it was a manufacturing problem and thanked me for catching it. My passenger side sits back further. They're suppose to be sending me a new passenger side (no charge) that will match the driver's side (sits forward). I don't have mud flaps so sitting forward is not a big deal to me.

Contact LT at MetalTech and they'll get it sorted out for you.

I have that too. My wife said I was being anal and since it took 10 weeks for them to be delivered I was just going to deal with it. I will call MT now though.

Man, That sucks. Maybe just an isolated issue....New fabricator maybe? Aren't all their sliders had fab'd?

my replacement passenger side slider showed up yesterday. Just need to find some time to pull the old one and install the new one.

Installed the replacement slider (passenger side). It came with new gussets and you'll need to re-use the existing hardware.

It sits more forward now, but not as far forward as the driver's side. For the passenger side you could definitely have a mud guard/flap installed without a problem. On the driver's side you would probably run into problems.

I had grind the front gusset a little so that it wouldn't rub the underside of the body. Also took some metal snips to the rocker panel bracket to cut one of the edges that was hitting the gusset.

I installed mine yesterday. I'm also getting that thumping sound, specially in the driver side. It feels like a blown shock absorber. Also the left side slider rides forward and touches the driver side fin. Send Mark from Metal Tech an email to see what can be the cause of the sound and what can be done with the left slider. I'm hoping it has nothing to do with the XREAS lines!!!

Yes - Metal Tech Powder Coated them. Install was about 1.5 hours, pretty straight forward.
