Ordered my suspension. I'm excited !

I finally settled on Toytec front CO's (adjustable from 0-3") and will set them at 2.5" and I ordered it with Bilsteins all the way around and SAW coil 1.5" in rear w 5100's.

The only bad thing is the SAW rear 1.5" springs are on back order :(

So I have to wait , and wait , and wait……

Im going aftermarket tires but staying with stock size. Another thing I can't decide on , suggestions welcome .

FYI, the saw coils are 2" (even though it says 1.5").

The Toytecs will come set at 3.5". I had Slee crank it down to 2.5" so that I still had about an inch rake.

I like the stock duratracs, my dash says 18.1 MPG, though last year it dipped down to 17.9 during winter.

I have better pics but they are on my buddies camera after our 4x4 trip... trying to get those.

Looks great. How do you find the ride with the SAW coils in the rear?

I just recently did my lift and I absolutely love the ride the 5100s gave me, but I'm not 100% satisfied with the look. I want a little rake back. Right now I have the 1.5" DS spacers in the rear but am considering two options.

1. SAW 1.5" springs (as noted above will give 2")
2. Drop the front to 1.75" setting and leave the rear alone.

I'm also changing out the MT tires for either BFG A/Ts or similar. How do you find the road noise on the highway with the 265 Duratracs?

To me, some rake is good so that when I load up the 4runner with my gear and my dog, it looks level.

I love the ride my toytec coilovers and 5100's and saw springs in the back provide. I have 0 complaints. Your cheapest option is to drop the front to 1.75 and see what you think. Right? I really wish the saw coils were a true 1.5", but I knew they were 2" because of others opinions on here. There was only one coil out there that was 1.5" but it only provided about an 1" lift in the rear. I already smashed my front skid 4wheeling and that's why I'm appreciative of the extra clearance. You might not need that much hence why your first option might be best.

I've always had MT's or AT tires. I have no noise complaints with the duratracs nor has anyone in the truck said anything.

Thank you Arc. for the photo. Even gets me more excited when I see a silver TE set up the way I'm setting mine up.

UNFORTUNATELY …… SAW still on back order . I am going to call Wheelers today see when expected.

Have you checked with metal-tech to see if they have any in stock? That's where I got mine from...paging Lt., your assistance is needed.

Sounds good to me. I called and checked and order is being processed today :)

Thanks YotaDan

ARC. Did you put the diff drop in ?

@op: IMO the stock sized 265 look too small with 2"+ of lift. I hated it on mine, and ended up going to 285's. you will probably find you'll need uca's to get your alignment back in spec though, otherwise you may find your tires start wearing very unevenly, especially on the inside 1/3 or so.

Arc. Thanks for the reply. I too like the slight rake for the same reasons. Two pups and some gear aboard and I feel like I'm doing a catwalk! Albeit if I added a spring vs. spacer in the rear along with the Billy's I'm sure it wouldn't sag as easily.

Both dropping the front to 1.75" and new springs likely wouldn't cost me much difference. The springs I could do myself in the garage, but the adjustment up front I would take bake to the shop... and would require another alignment. Speaking of... with 265s OP you should be able to get a great alignment. Mine was dead-on and the dealer even got my castor pushed forward alto about +2! From what I've read on here, with 285s you should really get the UCAs too.

Great choice using Wheelers. I was really happy with both purchases (DS kit & 5100s) from them. And the Halloween treats thrown in the box with my shocks was an added bonus!!

Too small, too big, it's all a matter of opinion. I don't think they look too small, maybe just a tiny tad :D. To me, my truck looks more like an expedition type vehicle and I like it. I see the 285s and I like that look too, but I didn't want the extra weight or further loss of mpg.

My tires are wearing perfectly. I get my tires rotated religiously at Discount tire, and after 26k miles they've never made any comments on wear. I don't see anything either. I had an alignment done at a Toyota Dealership out here in Colorado that works with Slee Offroad to provide that. It drives straight as an arrow. I know Slee said I didn't need UCA's given my setup. I think the 3" range is where you might start thinking about those?? Maybe I'm not fully informed either of all the information.

I don't claim to be an expert on anything truck suspension related :)
