Out 4wheeled by a Honda!

I recently went to CT for a visit with Dad. As some of you may remember from earlier comments he has a Honda Ridgeline.

While visiting him I took his Honda places I never could've gone with my T4R. I traversed slopes, hills and rain slicked surfaces that would've stopped my T4R dead. I couldn't believe it either! Thanks to the turning radius, incredible 4wd and good clearance the thing is an off-road animal! It was a blast, I haven't done enough playing in the woods over the last 4-5 years.:biggrin2:

The garden tractor is pretty cool and way ahead of it's time. I think it's an '87. It has 4wheel steering, locking rear diff, 12speed fwd and 4 reverse, F&R PTO, hydraulic lift F&R. New stuff has all those features but in '87 those items were a big deal on an 18-25hp garden tractor.

I'm pretty sure they didn't catch on 'cause it's the damn ugliest thing I have ever seen...:bash:

It fits a niche that some others dont have. I do think it's ugly , but some think it looks great , so to each his own.

Personally I would not own one. Not a fan of the design , IRS , no Tcase , 4wd lo , no frame , it's basically an AWD car type vehicle IMO.

I drove the Ridgeline for a good day when I worked for Ford's car fleet (someone traded it in). That thing drives like a lifted civic. It's build quality wasnt bad, but it lacked the craftsmaship of a toyota.
