I wouldn't lose a second of sleep....but really ask yourself at the end of the day, would it be worth it. I wouldn't be able to sleep for a long time knowing I took another person life albeit a robber/thief/crook. It would taunt be forever. Not to mention the what if's that could of occurred.

Personally if the two people who where potentially armed males, where in the process of stealing my car, I would let them. ITS A CAR. IT CAN BE REPLACED. WE HAVE INSURANCE.
I don't know the full story... but from what has been said in the news article it seems they (the two thief's) where there to steal the car and not enter the home (speculation and not fact). Therefore I don't see the point in risking the safety of your family in a poteinal crossfire just to protect a materialistic object that CAN BE REPLACED... LIVES NOT. Now if they where to enter the house and pose a threat to family and/or friends, different story. IMO

I don't get the concept of shoot people to protect property at all. It's just stuff that gets old and eventually thrown away.
I had my 4Runner broken into in front of my house one evening last year. They stole a pair of sunglasses, my TomTom, and some change I had in the center console. Police recovered the TomTom about a month later and caught one of the KIDS that stole my stuff.
From the article, it sounds like they were going through the truck, and not actually trying to start it and drive away (not that it really matters since I'm insured).
So if I lived in Texas, and I had a gun and shot those kids, would that be worth the price of my stuff? I don't think so...

Some people work VERY hard for their property. Some people don't want to work hard for anything, they will steal it from you. In other cases, some people want YOU to work hard, then take your money away and give it to those that don't want to work at all (Democrats/Leftists).

I have a CCL myself, But I wouldn't be willing to use deadly force to protect my 4runner. That guy has a right to defend his property, but as a father/ husband, it's not worth approaching 3 thugs with nothing to lose who could be armed themselves. Imagine what an idiot you'd feel like getting killed or paralyzed over a vehicle.

Speaking from personal recent experience of my car being stolen in front of my eyes and within seconds from having my kid being in the truck, the degenerates having zero empathy for ruining our Christmas, threatening my family's safety and causing me financial hardship and on going inconvenience for dealing with cops, insurance, towe yard and body shop. Not to mention that I can't sleep the same any more.
I would have to think very hard about not blasting those waste if oxygen bas****s.
It is a tough call, I pray about it all the time, making the right decision.
On another note, how did the police recover your nav? I had 3 cameras stolen that night and thought it was a lost cause.
