Part fell off 2011 SR5 and can't seem to identify what it is for...

I was shoveling my driveway and noticed a rubber bushing. I picked it up and put it in my pocket and finished the driveway. I just looked at it and it had a part number on it. P/N 52216-60060. I did a google search and it says it is a "Mount Cushion. Other than that I find no real information on it?

Anyone have any ideas on this and what it is used for? It is round and it is not torn at all.

Might be the mystery rubber thing /bushing. Been quite a few others on here wondering where it came from and what it is for. Typically found on driver side floor.

I can't help you much, but what I can tell you, is that it is part number 17 in this photo.

Looks like a body mount cushion. Basically it's one of the mounts that connects the body to the frame. If that fell off you have problems...

Yes, it is a smaller rubber thing... about 1" in diameter. It is not torn and it is round.

No one has done work to my 4runner...ever....except oil changes and rotate tires.....

Not the same as what I had found in mine. Mine is a small rubber half sphere type thing, a little larger than a dime in circumference I'd say. But I found mine inside the vehicle.

It's the rear crossmember. Take it to the dealer. Those should never fall off. It's a safety issue and the dealer should cover the repair for free IMO.

I just climbed under there and couldn't see where it went... need a lift...

Dealer will tell me to pound sand as it has around 47K miles on it and out of warranty...

I will bring it in and see what they say and what they will do.

It may have been a spare/stray left over from the assembly line that finally fell out of a nook or cranny on the frame but I highly doubt that with your mileage. If that came out then the bolt holding it came out. I would definitely get it looked at if you can't crawl under and check for yourself.

You don't need a stealership. Get an indy shop/mechanic to take a look. Take the diagram above with you. You have the part, you just potentially need a bolt. I would also get the other location checked.
