Partznet is worst place to shop

Its Canada, you all should know that if you are not in the U.S. you are considered an axis of evel... Partznet knows that too.

just kidding, I hate bad customer service too.
Thats why people in the US are allowed to have large concealable handguns, in case of bad customer service. again just kidding...

I would be willing to bet they have lost some business over this thread.

Then again maybe they didn't.

I also had a problem with them,

I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!!

My Justification:

I emailed them b4 my order and asked for the part number for the part i needed. I order my parts with my part numbers they gave me. The P/N said it was for a 03/05 so I add the request on my order to confirm it was the right part. I receive a email back saying it was the right part number.

I wait for 1 1/2 weeks and guess what happens its the wrong part. I email them and ask for the the right part and a couple days later they tell me the part I need is more money. I offer to pay the difference and I asked twice b4 the order was placed. He says to ship back the item and he will refund me the part and tells me make another order(pay shipping again)

So, now he wants me to lose my shipping in the first order and spend more on shipping back to him for his mistake Now, I have a useless part in my garage and dont want to take anymore losses.

DO NOT BUY FROM PARTZNET!!!

I never wrote a thread because they are a vendor here. I would rethink that.

Sorry for the improper grammer.(its late here in cali)

partznet = awful customer service & unreturned phone calls - the savings are just not worth the time, effort, and aggrevation.

btw, most dealers will price match - call their parts department if in doubt - nothing to lose!

Maybe I'm just lucky, but I've used trdparts4u and had good experiences. On one order, I bought touch up paint and when I received it, the bottle was dry.
they (trdparts4u) communicated through email with sarcasm. when they were told to cancel the order since the parts ordered is no longer needed, they replied "Why don't you need them anymore? Did you sell or wreck your
truck? " damn trdparts4u. they even charged the card before they even have the parts ready for delivery. i thought they can only charge the card once the item has shipped?

I called trdparts4u and spoke to Barbara and she was very nice. Anytime I run into problems with online merchants, I find that things are easier to sort out through the phone rather than email.

....thank goodness for the edit button.....I mixed up a bad experience with a different parts supplier with Conicelli....Tom is a great rep there who bent over backward's helping me reverse the brokerage charges for a part I purchased awhile back....

What you got there and how you resolved the issue with brokerage chargees?

Hi Alex....I ordered a Valor tip for approx. $40.00 and it was shipped via UPS....it showed up at my door and they (UPS)wanted almost that amount in brokerage fees....I refused the shipment and sent it back with the UPS delivery boy.....I spoke with Tom there at Conicelli and he immediately shipped me one at a declared value of $20.00 to avoid the brokerage rape fees that UPS charges...and took back the returned one no questions asked...(anything over $20.00 declared value makes UPS lick their chops and see $$ signs)....anyways, to make a long story short, I was very pleased with how the whole issue was handled....perhaps the difference with the service was that I ordered it through ConicelliToyota (located in Pennslyvannia) on Ebay....I'm guessing they are the same, right?....(they are, I just called and confirmed it)......I think the problems are with UPS and how they treat cross border packages with ridiculous 'brokerage fees'....

For what it's worth, I've had one experience with them, and it had both good and bad.

The good - When I had an 04 Runner, I ordered the LED tails for it when they first came out. When one of the LED light bulbs burned out in one of the tails (after about 2 months), they sent me another tail, no questions asked. I got it quickly as well, and they didn't even insist that I return the other one first. They sent it to me, I swapped it out and sent them the defective one.

The bad - it took DAYS of calling before I got anybody on the phone, both to initially order and then to explain the defect. I would guess that I called 20-25 times before I spoke to anyone.

I probably wouldn't order from them again bc I found a pretty good supplier here, but YMMV.

That what waiting me: happy face of UPS guy looking for receiving a check for $100 in brokerage fees and another $80 in taxes. I don't mind to pay taxes, I don't want to pay that much, but this is a law - you have to pay taxes. But not those stupid fees. All they do is to fill-up 1 page on a computer basically by copy/paste the information, it probably take them maximum 5 minutes to do. Now just think how much we paying them: $100 x 60/5min = $1200 per hour. This company is a Bill Gates #2, they charge customers $1200 per hour.

I ordered from Conicelli a few times. Twice they sent wrong parts. It was hard to get hold of anybody on the phone and when I did, their attitude let much to be desired.

Since then I ordered twice from Toyota of Dallas http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=214074

Better prices and faster delivery. When UPS mangled a package losing some parts I had ordered, I called UPS that night. The next morning Toyota called me telling me they were shiping the missing parts that day.

Very sorry to hear it Alex. I don't think most people realize the frequent challenges and problems when we order items from the US. It is critical to get USPS as you mentioned. I've had this same situation where the brokerage fees amost cost what the product did!!!

I just ordered my 06 tails locally. I spoke to the parts manager and explained it is more important to me to support our local market. He agreed, and I was able to get the tails at 240 ea. I think that is fair.

Now the only problem for you is if it is going to be worth it to "fight" about the mistake with partznet or just forget about it. I'd suggest you let a manager there know, then just let it go. Perhaps suggest a $50 or $XXX voucher is the only way to keep your business in the future.

They did pay for return shipping on one wrong part they sent me. The other wrong part they sent was only a couple of bucks, wasn't worth hassling over.

I've send the emails to Conicelli Toyota. One to Steve Kauffman, Parts Manager and another one to Ray Hoisington, General Manager.
I've another saved in my mailbox and ready to be send to the Vice-President of Conicelli Toyota, but I decide to give Steve and Ray a chance to work this things out. If I would not hear from any of them till Monday, The email for Vice-President will find its way out.
So we'll see if they going to react somehow on this.

Parts arrived on Thursday. I wasn't home and the package is still at UPS. UPS makes 3 attempts and ships the package back if it has C.O.D. which mine have ($125). This means that I've to resolve the issue till the end of Monday. I can call them and ask to hold it; they will do it for 5 days which means till Friday. I hope Conicelli will offer me some compensation till that time.

Cocnclusion:

It was long story, but in short here is what I came out with.

I've contacted Steve Kauffman, Parts Manager. He IGNORED all my requests.
I've written a complaint letter and send it to Dom Conicelli Jr, General Manager and Donna Conicelli, Customer Relations Manager. Didn't get any responds from neither of them.
I've send this letter to Dom Conicelli Sr., President and CEO of Conicelli Toyota. This morning I received an email which stated:
"I am sorry for any inconvenience or additional expense that happened with your parts shipment. I was also told that there was a 10% off coupon that was used which means you were actually only charged you $34.85 for the shipping. While we regret that you incurred this expense, your request for reimbursement has been DENIED."

At the end all this means.
1. We do not care about our customers; may be do, but just a little, as far as it concerns when they own us money.
2. If they offer you a discount, they will be happy to use the most expensive shipment to make your discount disappear. The idea is bringing you in offering a deal, then charge you to the maximum. (I was offered $22 for shipping and USPS service, I've received $34.85 shipping and $57.06 additional charges for UPS = $91.91)

had a bad experience with them too. had bought a pair of led taillights and one of them was scratched. i had to pay to ship back to them a damaged part THEY sent me and it took over two weeks for them to send me a replacement. They're only 40min away so I have no idea why it would take so long. Oh and i had also bought some bulb connectors along with the lights and they charged me shipping for them when all they did is just throw them in the box with the taillights which they were shipping to me for free. That's the first and last time I'll buy from them.
