Passenger side seatbelt correct?

For the first time today I sat on the passenger side and for some reason the seatbelt buckle seems weird when im strapped in. Is it just me or is it backward.

yes, your feelings are correct. It needs to be flipped around.

Hi V8,

No that's inside out! The buckle goes on the outside. It gets twisted sometimes when being released and goes through the Buckle's 'Strap guide' folded in half; which is very difficult to unfold while you're pulling it out through the guide but it can be done, Just take your time. Pull it out all the way; watching to see when the 'folded' section comes out. When the folded portion comes out, start to unfold it while slowly releasing it as it retracts and begins to go back in to the spool. "DO NOT allow it to default to crease again as this is what it will try to do if allowed". The trick is to release it SLOWLY as it goes back through the strap guide and never let it fold up when it goes through and it'll be fine!

My driver seat belt use to do that all the time until I realized what I was doing wrong when I released it when I was getting out of the truck! Rgds!

Thanks guys. How did it ever happen in the first place when it's so hard to reverse it back. Anyways, much better now. I was trying to search an interior pic online but couldn't peek at any.

Mine is the same way....driving me nuts! Makes me wonder if it came that way from the factory.

It's actually pretty easy to take all that stuff apart to inspect inside if you wanted. (Don't ask how I know, ugh). Pop a few panels off and have your socket handy for like 3 bolts and you can get inside.

If you ever take the panels off, the height adjustment one just has to be put back above the mechanism so it slides properly. I'm guessing you just bent and forced the webbing to turn at the buckle though, haha.
