Pearl white trail edition conversion

I have found a low-miles 2013 Pearl White SR5 locally.

Here's my question: is the parts list at the top of this thread valid for transforming a 2013? I know that there were changes in 2014, but would the parts listed work for my 2013 transformation?

I am very interested in this plan, but I want to know if I can take this parts list directly to my body shop and have them order from this list. The truck in this thread was done a few years ago and I wonder if part numbers have changed etc. I would hate to spend $$$ on bunch of parts and then have them be wrong. If I take this list to my Toyota dealership will they have the expertise at teh counter to figure that out, or should I have my body shop that's going to do the work figure that part out? (Sorry for stupid question, this is not my area of expertise.)

Most of the part numbers are the same. If any have changed - they should be able to find the updated ones for you at your Toyota dealers parts department. Also yes this will work on a 2013, none of the exterior parts were modified (at least none that matter for this conversion) from 2010 - 2013.

Question about the front bumper. Did you have to get it painted, and if so would you be willing to give the price you paid and how close the paint matches up?

I think I paid $400 for front and back. Not 100% sure since my memory isn't well lol. It is not an exact match but acceptable. Paint shop wanted to blend to the body for a better match but I declined.

Convert SR5 exterior to Limited

Has anyone tried essentially the reverse of this thread? Looking to convert my 2016 SR5 front end to that of the Limited. Like the way it looks better.

Where did you get the lettering for the front grill? I was considering picking up the TRD front end for my trail but if I could swing something like this I might go that direction!

starting slow with the mod bug with some carbon 3m wraps. these parts I had painted black a few years ago and had started to chip and fade. Im pretty satisfied with how they turned out.

I'm not familiar with these wraps. I assume they're some kind of self-adhesive vinyl? How do you get them to conform to the shape without wrinkles?

I didn't do them myself but yes they're self-adhesive and you use heat to stretch and conform to shape.

after getting my tires rotated at discount tire, I started having some horrible shake on the steering wheel. long story short, I put OEM trail wheels on to see if the issue were my wheels. I've been looking at the trd pro wheels on black and this gave me an idea of how it would sit since trd pro wheels are 17x7. The wheel and tire are noticeably more tucked in. The look isn't as aggressive as I would like for it to be. I'm going to give it a few days and perhaps it will grow on me and help me decide on those trd pro wheels.

Have you considered dipping them or sand blasting them black? I have seen it on a couple of rigs, remove the center cap and they will look BAD A$$

Yeah, I saw a few setups with the trail wheels painted black. It looks very nice! I might however go trd pro wheels since powdercoating is a little pricey and not really a fan of dipping. This setup makes my truck look like it skipped leg day! lol some spidertrax will make it look awesome though.
