Pedals too close together

I just purchased a 2004 Sport Edition 4x4 V/6, Galactic Gray, 23k miles. Great ride except for a couple of wierd quirks. The gas and brake pedals seem too close together. I was considering picking up another brake pedal and relocating the pad over a couple inches. Anyone ever fooled around with this? Also I tried lubing the driveshaft yoke to get rid of the common thud/clunk sound and feel coming from the rear after coming to a stop and releasing the brake but it still does it. Is there a real fix or do you just keep *****ing to the dealer? Otherwise it is a great vehicle.

The pedals takes little time to get used to, too close? it depends, i like the way it is spaced, it takes the least foot motion makes sense especially when on an emergency situations like sudden stops.

i like them close too as someone that comes from racing cars, its nice to have a setup that would be great for heel-toe downshifting if there was a manual transmission offered.

I agree and it took me a few days to get used to it. I drive with left on brake right on throttle so it's a little easier.....but it IS easy to hit both........smaller brake pedal would be a mod you could look into.
