Seating is much better than my 08. More shoulder room, head room and seats seem to have better thigh support. Seating position was my biggest gripe on the 08. This thing is very comfortable. And Im a big dude at almost 6ft4 and 225. Feels much bigger inside but still drives like a 4Runner.

I never drove the V8 4Runner but before my 08 I had an 06 5.7L Grand Junkokee. Other than the 4.0L being noisy (not as much in the 5G) its just fine since I dont tow. Im only at 500 miles so I have yet to get on it but I will tell you it gets up to 80mph juuust fine on the hiway and verrry quiet even at 80. Take one for a drive, thats the only way to know. My favorite thing about the 5G is when I close the door its like a tomb! Solid! 4G had a little better handling but I enjoy the soft ride of the 5G so I will just have to get used to its soft handling. 4Gs are great and I will miss the ability to have full time 4wd like I did in the 4G but oh well. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. I find the 5G size just perfect and very comfortable to me!

I think what people are reffering to is the "tinny" sound when you close the door and the windows are down. That's the only time I think it sounds "tinny". But that's nothing a little sound deadening can't fix.

Never drove 4th gen, but 5th gen seats seems good to me. I'm 5'10" though but longest time I spent in driver's seat was about 12 hours with few short stops. (600 miles round trip). After 10 hours I started feeling my neck and had to keep changing my position a little bit , but nothing really uncomfortable.
