For those that have missed it, we have had a thread up in the 4th gen section and had an awesome time wheeling in south Jersey the last time out, which was November 17, 2012. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/127745-wheeling-pine-barrens-nj-nov-17th-2012-a.html We wanted to make it a more regular thing, and also welcome all generations of 4Runners too. I know a lot of guys around here have been looking for places and opportunities to go wheeling, well here it is! I will try to keep this thread up to date with the next time we're heading out there.

FYI, stock 4Runners handled these trails just as well as the modded ones, anyone interested, please copy and paste the list and add your name. I will try to keep this first post as up-to-date as possible. :lookout:

9 hrs to Newark from where I'm at, how far away is this place from there?

Hell, I may just turn it into a CT trip.

If it takes 9 hours to get to Newark from the south, it would probably take 7-8 to get to where we are wheeling. List updated.

It looks like the Batsto Village office is open daily from 9am-4pm this time of year. They have maps available. We should meet somewhere around there and pick up some maps. I don't have a CB radio, I have two walkie talkies which I will bring. Anyone else can bring walkie talkies and CB radios too if they want. Any ideas on a meeting spot?

hey sorry been busy, but as far as a meeting place goes im thinking we should see where a majority of you guys are coming from and where you plan on going in to hit the trails ya know and go from there. i live by stockton college which is exit 44 on the gsp so im already down here basicly. and i have a cb so ill be on that, not sure if ill be able to pick up a walkie though.

Slowteg97, it appears that everyone is all over the place. If you want, you can pick a location near you and I'm sure nobody would have a problem with it. Do you have any good trails that you hit up often and are somewhat familiar with? Would you or anyone you know like to trail lead? I'm not familiar with the area at all, personally.

where on 539 exactly did you guys go last time btw? we could all meet at the k-mart on rt.72 big lot and its usually alway empty i mean after all its a kmart lol. from there we can go out to warren grove which in a 10 min ride or travel down to whartons. lmk what everyone thinks about that.

We jumped on the trails about a half mile or so down the road, right next to the Atsion Ranger Station. The trail we jumped on is called "Hampton Road". I remember it being marked on my GPS. Right off 206.

Wharton State Forest sounds cool, I always heard that was nice. How far is that from the K-Mart?

It's all the same to me as I don't know the area - but it's good enough for me I should be there by 9 easy.

Time and Location have been updated in the original post. If anyone has any problems with this, any other ideas, etc, feel free to post this and we can change location as necessary. This location is 45 minutes away from the Pic-A-Lilli, which was the location of the first meet. This means we will be seeing different trails. Hope this works for everyone.
