Pinstripe repair and fender maintenance on a TE?

Hey guys,
I just spent a week down in Baja with my t4r and came back with a few light pinstripes. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to take care of what can be taken care of?

Separately, what do you guys use on your plastic bumpers and fenders? Standard vinyl protectant?

Mother's brand Back to Black rubber / vinyl protectant stuff works well to mask the racing stripes on the fender flares, but there is no way to get rid of em. As for your paint, Scratch-X or any polish followed up by some good wax will make em all but disappear. I got some real bad ones last year and went as far as having to wet sand em out.... only to get more the very next trip i took. Now I just don't even worry about them and wax my truck every 10k miles when I do the maintenance.

Mother's Back to Black and Meguiar ScratchX are exactly what I use too. There's another Meguiar's product that's similar to ScratchX for smaller swirls and stuff but I forget the name. Just remember that ScratchX also removes your wax, so after using it you'll want to wash and wax your vehicle again.

I'll tell you what not to use. I had a scratch on my passenger rear door a couple inches long that resembled a check mark. It broke the clear coat so buffing was out of the option even though I tried. I bought the touch up paint from the dealer to try. It didn't work out so well and I believe it's more noticeable now than just leaving the scratch exposed.

I also have the 3m film on the front end and headlights.

What color is you 4runner ?

The truck is dark grey. I don't think any of the scratches are through the clear.
