Pioneer AVH-4100 - no RCA signal

Recently installed a Pioneer AVH-4100 NEX head unit. JBL amp has been removed and have the door speakers wired directly to the new head unit and everything works great.

Next step was installing a new amp and sub, everything hooked up and the sub won't produce sound.

I've checked resistance all all of the RCA pre-amp ground shields and resistance is less than 1 ohm, so I don't believe the Pioneer ground shield fuse is a problem. Subwoofer option is turned on in the Pioneer settings. Amp has 12 volts and sub is wired correctly to the amp.

Thoughts on what the problem could be?

i have to ask, did you run the remote amp turn on wire?

Are u sure there is a 12v remote trigger hooked up? Also is the rca on the sub output and not on input on the radio? Try the have radio with the volume down and have the gain at turned to 9 to 11 o clock.from all the way down. This should tell you if there sound coming out, also is the subwoofer speaker wire hooked up?

Are you testing the sub with the radio or other input?

I ask because if you used the remote ant wire instead of the remote turn on wire, the amp will not power unless you are using the radio.

Remote wire for the amp is hooked up the remote lead on the Pioneer wiring harness. I disconnected all the wires from the amp and reinstalled everything and I started getting sound out of it finally. I think the little hex set screw that holds the remote wire in the amp wasn't making contact.

Now I need to figure out how to set all the gains and crossovers correctly, the sub output is pretty weak.

How high do the radio go? Gain should be at 11 o clock to halfway if the preout is not that strong, also the amp lpf set it to all the way up and use the deck to control the frequency at 80 through 125.

Don't wanna hijack this thread by any means, but I cannot start my own threads yet and I'm in desperate need of help. I've searched this with no luck so please direct me where I need to go if this has been covered. So I just got my Pioneer 4100 in dash installed in my 08 UrbanRunner and now my gauge cluster has no illumination at all. The transmission indications are lit up as are the headlight and others of the like. Just the lights that illuminate the gauges aren't working. Didn't notice them until I got home and have been fighting with the shop that installed my indash that they in fact did work prior to in dash install but they are refusing to own up to it so it's up to me to fix. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you checked to see if your tail-lights work? Could possibly be a fuse. Test each of the fuses int he fuse box and see if there is a related fuse under the hood.
I have heard of hooking up the illumination wire blowing out the circuit boards in Honda's but nothing like that in the Toyota's.

I checked all lights and fuses and all were good. I pulled my dash out on the bottom to see if I could see any loose connections from where the shop worked and couldn't find anything at all. I can't imagine all the bulbs blew during the install. I am debating to go ahead and upgrade all the bulbs to LEDs and I reckon tear everything out and go from there.
