I was bored and just playing around, guessing you would fly out from Pheonix to Baltimore, the flight would be about $500, and guessing you would avg 20mpg, with a avg cost of $3.65 per gallon @2200 miles about $400 for gass, and that it would take about 2 days of non-stop driving. That transport price seems like a bargin.

Thanks. I have been visiting this forum for a good couple years and now I feel like part of a family.

I did a similar calculation. If I had time I would take the family out to the east coast and make a holiday of it. Also I live 150 miles from Phoenix so add 300 more miles of gas to that.

Congrats on the purchase! I'm sure you will love that truck. If you still have $50.00 left in your pocket after buying/shipping the truck, swap out the dash speakers as soon as possible. That will be the best $50.00 mod you can make to your truck. I wish I had swapped mine sooner. Enjoy the truck!

Thanks SOMDRUNNER1. So even the upgraded dash speakers that come with the Navigation package are not that good? The others are good I hope, maybe not the best but decent. Is that right? Any recommendations? In searching I have found this so far.

They are the bomb! You will not believe the difference. Bought them from Amazon for just over $50.00. Easy to install once I figured out that I needed to disconnect the short wiring harness that connected to the stock speakers and then cut off the connectors. I removed the silver factory bracket and then used the metal "braces" that were recommended by another member to connect the new speakers to the factory screw holes(found the same ones at my local hardware store). I used a short screw and a lock nut to connect the "braces" to the new speakers. Trust me on this one, you will appreciate the difference in audio quality!

So.......

I bought one. I would like to thank everyone very much for all the help. Also, Brad thanks for the Brown's Toyota recommendation. They gave me a "Buy Happy" price that I am very happy with and so I bought the Silver with KDSS and Navigation (and carpets :lmao. I wasn't sure I wanted the Navigation but I knew I wanted a good sound system. I figured if I didn't get the Navigation I would have to put in an after market system so with a good price I thought I would just do it. I will have to have it transported so that is a bit of a drag but I have looked into several top rated companies and it can be done for just over $1000 all inclusive door to door.

Can't wait. There are so many trails I want to go on that I would never do with my Outback. Thanks again everyone.
