Plug and Play Rear Camera Override Dongle

So, I have to say - (@bjohnston115) Brian's customer service is a notch above!

I had some trouble with my harness that I bought from him, and Brian was emailing back and forth and willing to get on the phone with me. At one point he was willing to send out a replacement harness. I was able to fix the problem without doing so, but Brian stayed on the phone with me to help with the entire process.

...oh, and the harness works great!

I can highly recommend Brian and his products! :trophy:

As for the SwitchPro, the positive wire from the unit to be turned on (mainly lights in my case) gets connected to the SW. The negative wire from the lights gets grounded anywhere that is good ground.

Ok, so tape up the longer wire and use the shorter wire to the switch.

Did you ever get this resolved? I'm thinking about wiring up an reverse cam override to my Switch-pro also.

This will 100% work with the switch pro unit. You just will only use 1 of the two wires coming off the override harness instead of both. Supply one with 12v from the switch pro and you are set.
 
Please don't shoot me; I just remembered I ordered and received this part, but hadn't ordered the switch yet, and thus haven't installed it.

So sorry, but will soon. Funny, could have used it a couple of times already.
 
DPDT suggestions?

I've been searching around and haven't seen anyone post anything on using a DPDT switch for the camera install that was a factory look/fit. Any suggestions on something that would fit ideally in the location for the heated seat switch or one of the spares on the left knee panel area?

Yeah there aren't any DPDT switches that will fit in the factory cutout. If you get the larger ARB style switches you can get a DPDT.

They might exist. I just haven't found any so don't give up hope. I'd love a DPDT for the factory cutout too.

Front camera pic?

For those of you who have added a front camera can you post some pics? I saw the one where it's mounted in the Toyota emblem but I do not want to do that. I'm thinking of mounting it under the horizontal "bar" under the Toyota emblem (I have an SR5), somewhere behind the lower grille, or on top or on the side of the license plate bracket/holder. Just wanted to get an idea of where others have mounted theirs. I don't want to drill any holes either. Also trying to figure out where would have the best view. Mainly looking to add this for aid in parking in tight parallel parking spots. Thanks!

Mine is mounted to the bottom of my front license plate bracket. I have a picture posted in the groupbuy thread.

You can select entune, just branding for markets. All 2014+ are the same.

ordered mine. hopefully I get it before June 13th.. Secondly, hopefully I down burn my house down while attempting to install this.
