Portable Air Compressor and Jumper Options ?

Anyone have a highly recommended portable air compressor? More so for inflating a full size 265/70/17 tire in case I get a bad flat. Taking a long road trip into the bush, would like a reliable air pump as a backup.

So many mixed reviews on portable air compressors, looking for some subjective feedback from you all.

Also looking at some portable battery jumper options. I'm used to the big brick style, but now I notice these tiny ones that are the size of your palm and doubles as an all purpose charger also. Anyone use one of these?

Viair is a great product. If you want even more beefier one look at the viair 450P, great for tires up to 37, but will air all your 265s at ease.

Alternative and most used one id say here in the 4runner community is the ARB single or dual compressor but look to spend a good amount of mula (money). People mount them in the engine bay for a permanent on board solution.

For the portable jumper, i actually bought one from walmart, forgot what it was called but i think most are pretty good at jumping our vehicles. Pretty cool how they work and can also charge your devices. There was a group buy awhile ago but iduno if its going to happen again.

I had a viair 88p before i upgraded to a single arb compressor under the hood.

The only reason i upgraded was because I wanted to hard mounted the arb under the hood. Otherwise, i would have kept the 88p. So I would definitely buy one again.

Totally agree on the NOCO GB40. The thing is awesome. Jumped a deader than dead battery on wife's MDX in boost mode and it started right up.

Viair 450P is a nice compressor for the money and handles 33" tires no problem. If you want the fastest pump, I believe the ARB twin still holds the title.

My buddy uses a cheap one off amazon where you set to a pressure you want and turn it on...it takes him longer to re-inflate but he just stands around letting his pump do it's thing so it's not too bad really. They both work so you don't "have" to buy anything expensive if you don't want to.

I have the VIAIR 90P and echo the sentiment about their products in general, works great. Nice that all four wheels are easily reached between the hose and cord length, and fast.

Me too. I ran a Twin Air mounted in my jeep with great results. My T4R will never have 35" tires so I went with the ARB portable single. One of the things I like about this is that it comes in a nice container that I have filled with all my tire needs - Gloves, ARB Tire deflater/air gage, plug kit with extra plugs and emergency valve stems, a can of stop flat etc.....

I had a viair 400p. It worked great on my 285/70/17 Nittos. I have since upgraded to an ARB twin for convenience.

I am using the Antigravity XP-10-HD for my portable jumper. It's pretty amazing.

I have a Viair 450C. You cant go wrong with this unit. There are pros and cons to having a portable pump. One thing that is nice its easy to move from one vehicle to the next vs a fixed unit.

i have this same one. been using it for 3 years now. works great. puts out a ton of air.

I compared the choices and decided to modify a Smitty Built 2781. I cut the screw-on inflator off to use as a deflator valve, added a Milton 503 Air Chuck (via harbor freight 1/4 NPT barb)and used a Viair 90212 Pressure Switch to make it work like the ARB unit. Works great/costs less.
