I posted about wanting to buy LFD crossbars and received a DM saying they had them but to send a personal email. I did, and they replied with a picture of their LFD crossbars.... which they blatantly pulled from LFD’s website (I realized after the fact). I was overly optimistic and so was ready to pay, but then his Zelle request had a different name than the Email he was using: Klein vs Jamari. I asked to speak on the phone. At this point he asked me to cancel the request and implied I was profiling.

Yep... I got the same email too. No PM but messaged me under visitors message. emailed him already so lets see what he says.. Who knows I might score

I wouldn’t know. He did however reply to my email and attached a picture of some OEM skids when I listed I wanted aftermarket. Even if it was the actual ones I wanted and he was selling them for 50% off what new goes for I still wouldn’t have jumped on it. I mean, 0 post?

I received another private message yesterday directing me to a women selling LFD crossbars. When I reached out and asked for a pic, they sent the same stock photo from LFD’s website and asked only $50 for what should be a lot more. I think they’re opportunists.

I work in IT in a hospital so I see many phishing emails that try to scam people. I can confidently say DON'T DO IT!
