Thats cool, I've never seen a greyhound mix. Looks like a long haired greyhound...he fast?

Fast, agile, smart, and mouthy.

He was leaner before he started anti-seizure meds but filled out some in the past year.

Here are our two girls. They're both pound pups so we don't know exactly what breed they are but our best guesses are: Kona (left) shepheard-retreiver mix and Kylie (right) shepheard-pit mix. Kona is about 1.5 years old and Kylie is about 5 yerar old.

How is the heeler? Decent indoor dog? Or is he all outdoors? I hear they dig?

They are great dogs, and whether if you mind hair everywhere will determine if they are a good indoor dog. Mine was mostly outdoor, we let him in during the daytime during summer and hes out again at night.. he lays in the tile and enjoys the coolness :surfer:

i had him in my backyard before we got a lot of plants and he didnt dig any random holes, but once we fenced it off for some veggies and such he would hop over 4.5-5 ft fencing to dig up the fertilizer ): lol

She's great, smartest dog I've had the pleasure of knowing. Yeah she's an indoor dog but she stays out sometimes too.. She used to dig a lot when she was a puppy but I managed to break her of it and (with the exception of a hole she started a few weeks ago) she hasn't dug in two years.

Not sure why she started digging then, I have a feeling she was trying to get at someone outside of the fence because it's the only hole she ever dug near the fence. I halfway filled the hole right after and she hasn't touched it or started any new ones since.

We had one when I was a kid and he never dug, but he was very protective of the family.

Here is my boy Maximus! He is a 110# Akita, he will be 10yrs this summer.

Our Akita She is 10 years old now. She is the most protective 4 legged friend I've owned. Will definitely get another Akita when that time comes.

Hahaha Jo is the same way, half the time when I call her she's already right behind me or by my side... Close enough so that I don't see her and think she's run off.

I only put her on a leash if I think someone is gonna complain about it then as soon as no ones around she's off leash again.

I never heard of insurance rates being high depending on the breed of your dogs. At least it doesn't happen in New Mexico.

The Akitas are a very protective and loyal breed. They were bread to be part of the family and need that socialization or they will become uncontrollable.

The males were bread to be hunters and guard dogs in Japan. The females role was to stay home and watch the children when the parents were working.

The Akita, is not for those who just leave their dogs in the back yard or chained to a tree. They require constant attention/socialization and must be part of the family.
Our female has never been aggressive towards any other dog or person.

Maximus is down right striking!! I may have to go out of state to find another as there aren't many Akita Breeders in New Mexico.

Jetta is a 2.5 year old mix of Lab/German Shepard/Chow. She is an exciting dog to have to say the least. A maniac at times lol.

Kobi is a 14 year old Shetland sheep dog. He was the runt of the litter, plus smaller than normal. He was the freak of the litter. Gave him a shave for the summer time.

Beautiful dog! My mom and dad have a border collie and she is the best dog they've ever had. Even though she belongs to them, and I only see them every couple of weeks, I'm the only one she'll lick & if my mom tells her that I'm coming for a visit, she waits at the door for me.

She is a very busy dog, though, and if they didn't have horses & a pond I think she'd be bored out of her mind. I would definitely consider getting one if I had a place in the country, though.
