Finally done! Toytect BOSS lift...285/70/17 Terra Grapplers wrapping 17x9 Level 8 MK6.



Maybe someone here will buy the stock suspension parts LOL

Thanks man. So happy with it. Only 2600 miles hahaha oops. Time to pay off the credit card.


Theres absolutely no rubbing oddly enough. Only time I actually get rubbing is when I brake hard and cut the wheel. Noticed some scrape marks against the mudflaps. Otherwise none.

Glad to see I am not the only one that can't wait to get the mods done; I started ordering stuff with 38 miles and finally got it all installed when everything finally came in at just over 300 miles...lol. Seriously though, your rig looks great!

It's been forever since I've been on the site and I had this put together by the guys at HighTech towards the end of January of this year. As everybody knows, life and work get in the way but that is a good thing I guess. I replaced the shocks with the 5100's set at .85 and the stock springs with OME 884's in the front and 895E's in the rear as well as a new set of upper control arms with 285/70/17 Toyo AT II's. The pictures were taken today and she's a bit dirty but I think that you guys still can see what the set up looks like. I think it looks good and rides great. If you are in the NOVA, DC Metro or East Coast and don't mind a ride go to HighTech, these guys were great. Thanks to everybody.

Did you happen to measure what kind of lift you got up front with that set-up?
I was planning on doing something similar with 5100 and 884 springs, I was going to leave the shocks on the lowest setting though. I've got some allpro 2" springs and bilsteins for the rear...
 
I didn't measure to be honest. When I gave everything to Scott at High Tech I asked him whether it would be best to go with the lowest/no adjust or the .85 and he initially thought that with the springs no adjust would be perfect. Well, when I went to pick it up Scott told me that the .85 setting just looked so much better and really evened everything out. I'm paraphrasing everything as it was about 5 months ago but that's how I remember it. No rubbing with the 285's either. Every vehicle is a little bit different but this set up for me seems to have worked perfectly. The line are pretty straight with this setup on mine and no rake at all.

I also wanted to say in my last post thanks to all the input from the guys on this site for all the questions I had asked and the responses that I got. It was very much appreciated. Great bunch of people with a ton of knowledge. Thanks again.

What is the advantage of replacing the control arms with this setup? Is it necessary? Looks great BTW!
 
Put simply the more you lift the less caster/camber adjustably you have. Aftermarket UCA's allow you to get that adjustability back.
 
I'm at 1.75" on the fronts in the picture below. Factory UCA's. I did have to get it realigned, but my understanding is aftermarket UCA's aren't necessary until you go 3" or higher. Desirable, but not necessary.
