Thanks fellow 4Runner, I was the same way. I ordered the 285 Nittos at first then read how the TRD rims were a 7 and kinda freaked out. Email a few on here who had the pros on 285s. They said no issues, I ended up cancelling my 285s Nittos and went to discount tire for the 275s KO2s and they were like the Nittos you ordered were the lower end version. But they recommend with a 2.5 lift 285s that were at least 10ply. Anyways, I kept reading forums seeing the best fit and just took the risk and now I'm happy I went with the 285s, so far no issues. It rides great and enjoy my 4Runner more I couldn't imagine how the 275s would look it may not be much. Trust me if you can sell it, go for the 285s on sale, I like the look and I don't get any rubbing at all. It's good at 2.5 lift and the 2 inch rear coils.

Wow! Looks sweet! Did you also install UCAs since you went with a 2.5 lift up front? Also, where did you get a 2 inch rear coils? What brand or part# is it? It's cause I don't want to use any rear spacers.

Thanks bro, I was the same boat as you, lurking through this website. I wanted to do everything in once install. I was wanting to get a set of UCA's but I've spoken to three shops and they all advised me that it could be just a waste of money since it's only a 2.5 inch lift. Now if I went to 3 inches then yes so o just settled for this combination and is extremely happy. The stance does look better in person, the UCA in my opinion would look really good when someone checks the suspension.. I take her of road too and I have not seen a degradation in the 4Runners performance. I purchased the rear coils from DownSouth Motorsports, Item: ICON Vehicle Dynamics Toyota FJ (07-Current) & 4Runner
(03-Current) 2" Lift Rear Coil Springs (ICON52700)
The rear rides perfect and smooth over any bumps with the combination of the 5160s. My recommendation is the 5100s all around and the 6112/5160s is over kill but looks nice but love how she sits. Any other questions don't hesitate to ask.

Here is my new 5th Gen I purchased for my wife. 2014 LTD. Just picked up last week and loving it. I lurked on here for weeks figuring out the right setup for our needs. Only offroad use will be getting to the mountain.
I went with the 2.5/1.5 Leveling Kit. 275/60/20 Nitto Terra Grappler and 20" Fuel Trophy Wheels. I'm really happy with the end result!

Yeah they are 285s. Love it almost went twitch 285s and glad I stuck with these.

Yeah sorry, I'm on vacation this weekend and flew out to Seattle. I meant 275s, I was worried about the size of the rim and the rub at full lock. So far it doesn't rub at all and it may be the 6112 at the highest setting.
This is the exact setup I'm looking to have on my future Limited. Could you post more pics? Thanks!

haha no worries. I eventually want a lift but I seriously don't want 285s. I just don't want to deal with the speedo and odometer being off. Unfortunately it looks like you are on chicken legs if I stick with 265s

Finally got the lift and tires all put on! Really happy with the results. Also got AMP research power steps installed at Extreme Offroad & Performance, Inc. in Katy, TX.
Bilstein 5100s all around, front set at 2.5", rear has a daystar comfort ride 1.5" spacer. Stock front upper control arms.
Tires are BFG 275/70/17
