Toytec 3" coilovers

so me and some buddies installed these coilovers and we moved the notch for the adjustment up to the highest point and now it rides extremely bouncy......called toytec today and they said we shouldn't have moved the notch up and that it was already set for 3"..... IS THIS CORRECT? does anyone else have these coilovers?

ToyTec is the manufacturer, so one can only assume that they know what settings their products are at. I bought the ToyTec Ultimate 3" kit and the installation instructions stated that the coil overs came pre-set at 2.5". :shrug:

Ok I know its not a 5G T4R, but a GX460 is close enough and this forum really was a huge help in picking out my set up.

Bilstein 5100's set at second notch (0.85") which came right over a full inch of lift on my GX460. Wasn't trying to go too crazy with the lift, just wanted to get rid of the rake and didn't want spacers. I plan on getting some 275/65r18 Duratracs in a few months and possibly some TE sliders.

I was looking at the same lift before I pulled the trigger on the Boss kit. It's pre-assembled for the 3" height from Toytec since the 5100 Bilsteins are using Toytec lift springs, not factory height coils.

Think you might be riding a tad too high my friend!

You are right but with the Toytec Aluminum top mount it brings it up 3'' "IMO"

Hmmm... So in what groove did Toytec have it on before you moved the circlip?

Yup I confirmed it with ToyTec they say that moving the notch up I'm at a 4-5" lift and that's fir another application whatever the fk that means ! Lol anyways I dropped it back to factory settings and my front dropped a lot �� super sad but I love the way it drives better now ��

I just don't get what the other notches are for ? Like what application can you use those for to reach a 4"-5" lift? Doesn't make sense what they are for! Toytec told me not to use those notches cuz I will break my shocks! Really confusing but oh well!

Guessing that the notches are for OEM springs (shorter) thus top notch = 2.5". Im running Billy 5100s on the 3rd notch and got about 2.5" out of them. if the Toytec springs are stouter and longer it makes sense.

I finally got my lift. Been lurking for a while and got recommendations from chudiddy for tire sizes and advice. I just went with the 6112 at the highest setting 2.5 and with the 5160's with ICON 2" rear coils with the TRD Pro rims and BFGs 285's. At first I jumped the gun and was worried at how stiff the front 6112's were but the rear was soaking up all the speed bumps and pot holes. It has since settled and it drives how I want it. No see saw effect when braking or pressing on the gas. My lift was installed first a few days ago and waited for my tires to come in and and just got my wheels on today. It doesn't rub at all I tried everything and it is perfect.
