I had to purchase a UCA bolt from Toyota because we're gonna have to cut the head off of the passenger's side UCA in order to remove it.

Why do you have to cut the head off the UCA Bolt?

Agree. I replaced mine without any problems doing it by myself. Should be no need to cut anything.

Well, since the bolt's head is on the right side of the UCA it has to be slid towards the front of the truck and it's a 6" bolt and there isn't any room, the AC lines and power steering lines seem to be in the way. The instructions mentioned this as a possibility. Not for you though?

If I recall correctly, you can loosen the lines enough to move them out of the way. I was able to install both in less than an hour without cutting anything.

No, but I did have to pop one of those lines out of the clip that holds it down. Once the new UCA was in and bolt was re-installed, the line clipped easily back in. It is tight, but you do not need to cut the bolt.

yup, I agree with everyone above. You can definitely get that bolt out without cutting it. On my 05 Tacoma I had to actually bend the sheet metal back on one of the sides. the 4Runner was much easier. just get a friend to help you get it out. it's nice to have two people because one can guide it from above while the other taps it out.

You have pull that AC line inwards to unclip it from it's holder.Then there's room to slide the bolt the whole way forward.

With logic like cutting the head off the long UCA bolt because it can't slide out........How would you get a new one in there then? It goes in the same hole!

Well dang, looks like the shop that installed the lift were baffled by the UCAs. They had never seen them before supposedly. Harper - by going the other direction! Putting the washer and nut on the front end! I'll try moving the AC lines first!

I moved the lines just a smidge, other then that they went on pretty smooth.

Your truck looks fantastic. I am hoping to go with a very similar setup in a few months. How much rubbing did you experience with the 285 Duratracs on the stock wheels?

Thanks man! It's my first lifting attempt! As far as the rubbing there is none at all actually! Even with at extreme angles it's all good!

Road noise is a bit louder than the all terrains. Guessing mostly has to to with the tread lugs that are 22/32" deep. Deepest I've ever seen on a tire. I figure it will quiet down over time.

Now Firestone Destination MT 285/70's

Only used the all terrains cause the wheels and tires were a pkg deal. They are great all around tires though, just lacking the aggressiveness look.

Was there any difference in noise between the 265 vs the 285 Firestone MT's?

I thinking about either getting Toyo or firestone MT's or going a little more conservative and getting Duratracs. I will be getting 265's.

I think the 285's are a lil' bit louder than the 265's which is understandable given the extra tread depth and wider tire.

Yeah, its a 285/70 KM2 with some tread left. I bought it used for like $30.
