Pre-Runner Style Front Bumper...

With my rear bumper project winding down (FINALLY!) I am looking at examples to pirate for my front bumper design. A while back I found a dude on here who had a very clean looking "pre-runner" style, tube front bumper and for the life of me, after 2 hours of searching, I cannot find it. Do any of you know what I am talking about or have any other good examples of this style bumper on a 5th gen? I'm leaning towards the direction of 4130 Chromolly tube and nice thick .250 or 5/16" 6061 Alum skids for the front to save a bit of weight and just be "different".

Unfortunately the pics are now gone but I think he was the one to get this type of bumper first. [MENTION=64685]TOY2G[/MENTION] recently installed the same type of bumper as well.

That first one was Tim, he got his in feb 2010.

GD2013 and I got ours this month. But they are not prerunner style bumpers. They are winch bumpers.

Those are great looking bumpers, I think I am going to forgo the winch install just due to the type of wheeling I do, plus I always have my Hi-Lift!

The bumper I was looking for is more reminiscent of the beauties on these TC Long Travel 4th Gens. Simple, light(ish) design, Baja / pre-run style.

I can't wait to see what you have in store for this. I was wondering what you were planning next since the rear bumper was coming to a close. Good luck SoCal!!

This is the only type of bumper I would use to replace my stock one. Something strong enough to push down a sapling or two but only weighing about 50 lbs or so. Couldn't find a better guy to prototype build one either. I would especially be interested in your solution for guarding the washer tank too.

It is not impossible to relocate the washer bottle and use an aftermarket one. Mine is relocated to sit just to the inside of the drivers side headlight behind the grille. Ducmonsta's shop did it so I'd have the wheel well room for the secondary shock resis. Turned out great.

My rear bumper is out for powder coating at the moment, as soon as that is back I will be finishing that and doing the plumbing on my aux. fuel tank then going full bore on the front bumper. I sourced the 4130 tubing and have some 1/4" and 5/16" T6 Alum. plate to use for a skid. I have a few ideas but won't know for sure until I get that bumper cover off there, its been too long since the last time I had it off, can't really remember how everything is attached under there.

Pictures of the fuel tank setup please. My mind was blown just reading your description of what you planned on doing with the plumbing and fuel diversion gizmos. Oh yeah and don't forget to make 2x of everything you're fabricating right now. I'll swing by and pick it all up in a few months, thx.
