you can also do this at Toyota - Lexus Privacy Hub
but you have to submit a separate request to "do not sell" and "delete my info"
edit - and this was hidden in the comment response to my "do not sell" request
"Please be advised that exercising your rights with us does not also exercise your rights with any Toyota, Lexus, or Scion dealers, local Toyota dealer associations, private distributors, Toyota Financial Services, Lexus Financial Services or Toyota Insurance Management Solutions."
So this request doesn't cover dealers.

We all know we can't completely go off grid, but every little thing helps and takes away some annoying emails and junk mail.
Of course it does, but you have control over that to an extent, just like this information allows you some control over the data being collected without your knowledge.
I'll make my own choices about that if I know where/how to do so. In some instances the services provided outweigh the privacy concerns, in some case they don't. My data, my choice, right?
I have not received all the literature that I have requested, as of yet. What I have read details that we can stop the selling of data, and the collection of most. However, in order to stop the data collection you need to forfeit several creature comforts like the use of the app for up to date information, remote start, and the on-board push for help button. Unfortunately stopping data collection is near impossible lately so the idea here is to limit it. Making Toyota keep it in house is still decreasing your information being shared, many many times over.
I am confident those robocalls are related.
Also, where in the app can you see the tire pressure??
Post your name, address, phone number, and credit card information here. Also, post every place you park and how fast you drive. Its not about being "worried" its about protecting your rights.

People are uneducated and complacent. They forfeit their rights and then simply write it off as paranoia of others. Its unfortunate.
I only have 1 Toyota.. never figured to see if I had anything else in "my garage". Thanks for this! Appreciate it! Now to find out about the in-car wifi.
Other maker forums have reported those. That is almost always installed by the dealer. Other times, by a jealous spouse or someone in the household complying with insurance plans.

I was just pointing out that there are many other forms of this going on all around you in everyday life. You obviously took it as an insult, which was not my intention.
If you believe the Toyota monitoring is such a big infringement on your rights then by all means do what ever you can to end it. You seem obsessed with this sort of thing so maybe you should live in a faraday room the rest of your life so you will feel safe.

Hello, I would like to share my recent experience on this subject. I have read this privacy issue thread shortly after my 4runner purchase in July and and have initiated 2 actions---called Toyota to cancel any subscription services such as toyota connect, something like desitination assist etc. and requested Toyota (via this forum's links) do not sell my personal data and delete my personal data. Today i have received 3 updated emails indicating my requests been processed. What shocks me (when checking their data) is the personal data report they have generated and sold before my data delete/stop sell requests have been made. This includes my demographic (including estimated net worth such as housing price degrees career, contact info, all Toyota purchase history, etc details. The report is very detail and extensive (more than 30 pages long) and the worst is the one that confirm my driving behavior/data already sold to insurance companies and other commercial interests. The report lists extensive information about me as a consumer and how TOyota has monetized it in just 1 month time following my purchase of the car. I am very unhappy about this.... While i have little faith in Toyota has deleted my data for good, in coming months i will be watching out for any contacts made by anyone who may have purchased my data. This is extremely poor how they are using buyers info to their financial gain. Lastly, i found a schematics where DCM transmitter is located (it is lower right side of the infotainment unit behind the cover). I have yet to go pull the plug yet ...

Everyone knows its present everywhere. Mitigating it to the best of one's ability is all that can be done. As there are things that you can do for your vehicle, the same can be said for your phone.

Thanks for sharing that. I am glad you got it worked out. I am interested in seeing what Toyota has on me as well.
