Proline 4WD T4R Rear Bumper

What was the issue you encountered if you don't mind me asking.

I have not purchased from them, but I have emailed them a couple of times for inquiries with no response

On top of that, the plate that carries the spare tire was cracking. I used the contact form on their website and I never got a response until a week later I posted something on my instagram story and tagged them. They messaged me through IG and told me to send the plate back so they can send back a reinforced one. I 2-day usps shipped it from CA to FL and they received it April 5, 2019. I asked them last week, April 16, if there is an update and they told me it would shit Friday, April 19. I still have not gotten notification of anything.

Despite the issues here, my better judgement, and common sense I'm (half heartedly) trying to purchase this bumper slick. The price is decent and it looks great. It's metal so I'm confident I could make it fit if need be :/ but hopefully not.

Off to a bad start tho. Website wouldn't take my address to verify shipping cost. Called with no answer. Voicemail what that of an individual (no mention of proline) instead of the business itself. Sent an email. I also observe that proline was asked about these issues directly in this thread. Instead of answering questions and concerns they simply liked someone's comment who said something positive. In my book that's shady and unprofessional.

Feet started cold and are starting to get frostbite. About to ask a local fabricator for quotes. Would rather not have truck sitting for a week/weeks in someone else's garage tho.

Email back saying I would get a response in 48 business hours. If I don't hear anything by tues-weds of next week, or I find something better, I'll write off proline.

If you're pretty proficient with a welder, check out Coastal Offroad. If I knew how to weld, I would have probably gone this route.

Definitely toying with it but I would rather not go through the effort of getting a new welder and all that. I might be getting my hands on a used CBI come Monday. Fingers crossed could be a massive savings.

Bumper design is great.
Delays, Communications and follow through are the worst I have ever seen.
Powdered coat is bad.

Also, if you do consider placing an order, please be aware that they do did. It shi0 bumper advertised on website. They swapped out spindles with much smaller 1” versions, downgraded machined bearing cap,with a strapped tin versions and removed a critical crossmember in tire swing out.

I was also catfished by the Proline rear bumper and it's been a horrible experience.

I received my Proline rear bumper for Christmas in 2017 and immediately noticed that there were missing pieces and the overall fit and finish of the bumper was very different from what is advertised on their website. The caps to cover the hinges from the swing outs and the pins to hold them open weren't included. I called and asked about it and I had to argue with someone about it who said they always include it and I must have thrown them away. I ensured them I hadn't and began the back and forth with them that took months for them to agree to send the pieces to me.

Every time I tried to contact them on Instagram or Facebook or Messenger I could see they had read the message and simply ignored me. I tried calling the shop repeatedly but more often than not I was met with a message that the phones were not in service and when someone did answer I was on hold 30-45 minutes to get a BS "it's on it's way" or some other brush off. They only once provided me tracking information and when the packaged arrived they had literally sent me chain link fence metal post caps. I eventually blasted them on my Instagram and Facebook in all the pages I am a part of to try and force a response and they blocked me from there.

Overall the bumper hasn't held up well to wheeling or to daily use. The powdercoat is flaking, everything is showing signs of wear/rust, I bent the right side up considerably when it took a hit wheeling and the swingout latches are such garbage that one of mine is currently ratchet strapped closed because it kept coming open going down the freeway.

I don't normally post on this forum but I was looking up some weights on armor and came across this thread and wanted to try and save someone from wasting their time. DO NOT BUY PROLINE!
