Protect All

I was at the toyota dealership and one of the service guys was telling me about Protect All. It's a cleaner/wax kinda all purpose thing. I got some and used a little and it seemed pretty good. I am skeptical by nature unfortunately, so I am wondering if anyone here has used it or knows anything about it. I guess if it's too good to be true, maybe it is....hope I'm wrong.

Guess it depends on what you're hoping to accomplish with the product. It appears to be marketed towards RV fiberglass, but also as a kind of one-for-all quick detailer. I would be skeptical of the longevity of it as far as paint protection. I prefer a carnauba wax like Collinite 845 as a final step protection, but that obviously depends on the current condition of your paint.
The Collonite is an extremely easy wax to work with, and lasts almost as long as a paste wax, but is obviously not meant to be used on multiple surfaces.

Thanks MontyMTB.

Ya, not really looking to use it for the long term protection but maybe just go over the car after a car wash, just to get it shining. I guess it's "6 of one, half dozen of another" really.

MontyMTB, thanks for that link. That's some good stuff.

Stifler, in a bout a year, I will probably just go that route, but it's so new, I wanna keep it looking good. I am sure I will get bored though.

If i'm in a hurry I'll use Meguiars cleaner wax. It seems to work well, beads nicely, and isn't a pain to apply/remove.
