Congrats! I pulled the trigger on my first 4runner a few weeks ago and it was also a Venture. Like you, my wife saw the Venture and wouldn't settle for anything less.

I also almost went with white. With all of the black added to the Venture, the white looks like a Storm Trooper! I settled on silver because they had it on the lot and I didn't want to wait.

How did you get your venture with Black wheels? I ordered mine and the dealership says they would paint them for me.. the Gun Metal. IT sounded cheap and I am not sure I am going to do it.
So did you specifically request the black rims or it just happened?

If you look at the Toyota website (image below), it states that the 2021 Venture comes with black wheels. While shopping for mine (2021 with black wheels), I definitely saw several 2021s that still had the gunmetal but I'm thinking they just used up the last of that stock before switching over.

I wouldn't be surprised if yours shows up with black wheels, despite what the sales guy told you. I had several sales people assure me that the 2021 Venture came with gunmetal just because they are used to the 2020 and not as informed as you'd expect them to be about the 2021 changes.
