Tell the wife to put her left foot forward a little bit, bend her knees and lean into it just a tad. Her body will soak up any small movements and keep the rifle steady. :)

Nice collection. I have a ruger #3 .22 hornet that has been passed down the family for a while. I love hornets, they're fun guns.

She is also in the Army and raised in Hill Country TX. She has been shooting guns her whole life. We were shooting prairie dogs all day, this was towards the end and form went out the window. She did canoed the skulls on 2 of those little bas****s with the .223.

haha... I know how it is when you get tired and form goes away :)

Normally I'll see my accuracy go to SH!T then I realize that my form has gone as well, that's usually my sign to pack things up.

Question...I notice your on or around Mt Hood...is your truck(s) available for viewing? I go through Portland every couple of weeks, and would love to see the project. Straight axle / V-8 is where my head is pointed on my runner, and would like to see a good example...yours seems to be one.
Let me know.

Sorry man, it's in Colorado at a storage facility while I am in Korea. I am from Oregon, but haven't lived there in about 6 years.

Recently, I had an extremely unpleasant experience at one of the competing boards, actually got myself censored first and then banned. All for being a smart-ass, and daring to question the voracity of a super-member. I find it
amazing how touchy some of these forum's can be. The mod's and certain members take themselves way too seriously, he's right, it's an internet forum. Now granted, Subby had his ban coming, but some of you guys are just as guilty for pushing too hard.

Love my hardtail have had since new, stripped it, powdercoated and
rebuilt 2 years ago. Rides like a dream!

I'm probably going to get slammed for this, but at risk of sounding like Dr.Phil...here's what I've noticed lurking back and reading a few posts...These places are like life, where it doesn't matter what the subject or "room" you're in, where your at, or what you're doing, there is always going to be a couple of people who because of whatever reason...someone got there head shoved in the toilet in gradeschool...mommy stopped boobfeeding too early...they didn't get what they wanted at Christmas...whatever, they see an opportunity to lord something over someone, talk **** (given the safety of the screen), or in effect throw a punch back...no matter how big or small. Some people harboring inadequacies will be that way no matter what...we've all seen them from pre-school to prison...they're part of the "seven percent society", and it does'nt matter the subject, they'll still be pricks untill they decide to help themselves.
I personally enjoy this site...it's full of people who are knowlegable, polite, helpfull...and above all, low intensity...It makes for solving problems (which is why most are here) easy, cost effective, and comfortable. *******s need not apply, but at the same time, we, on the other side of the screen, should also enguage the "stupid filter", and ignore the dumb ****.
Just my opinion...ban me :sniper:

I won't slam ya, it's probably true. I'd say there always going to be a couple
of people who use anonymity of the internet to hide. Me personally?, I'm a smart-ass in real life as on the small screen. I like stirring the pot a bit, I mean, this board would be kind of boring if all we did was go..."What size tires ya got?, answer: 31's"
As a matter of fact, what you are doing right now, is the exact same thing you are railing against. "I'm probably going to get slammed for this" You are creating the drama that you so despise.

I wouldn't say "despise"...I just take it for what it's worth...I frankly couldn't care less, mainly because it's a combination of thicker skin than most coupled with the ability to ignore what's not prudent to the situation. Having said that, I agree, and can be like you...I sometimes see the need (snicker, snicker) to throw "gas on the fire, then stand back to watch the show...but not unlike anything else, it has it's own time and place thing so I guess I'm no different than most.
As I said, and have said in the past, I enjoy the site, people here, and the knowlege that is to be had. I am for the most part not knowlegeable when it comes to Toyotas (imports in general) and find that people here are helpfull. I try to be polite and or civil, and just hope for the best...if I know something or the answer to a question, I answer it, If I don't...I listen and hopefully learn something. My comment was just an observation...does'nt mean it was right or wrong...just an observation, or I guess opinion...not meant to piss off or wind anyone up.

:: yawn ::

Are we still talking about this?

I am still talking about this because of the following:

-in-laws coming to town, procrastinating on projects that need finishing.

-30 degree's outside in sunny NC, need motivation to finish front brakes and
bearings. Also related to above, my missus would kill me if I worked on the
4Runner if other projects not complete.

so here we are, drinking coffee and wasting time...:lookout:
