Putting the 4Runner on Jack Stands - Am I doing it right?

Free maintenance just ran out on my 2013. I want to start doing my own routine maintenance and the first one coming up is the 50K. This will be my first time doing this so just trying to do my homework and prepare.

I've searched and found some threads on jack-up points and where to place the stands but want to double-check to make sure I'm doing this correctly so please bear with me.

I raised the front by placing the floor jack in the small square recessed area reference in which appears to line up with what I found on this thread -> Link. I had found a similar picture but the contact point for the jack in that diagram looked like it was much closed to the front bumper.

Here is where I lifted the front. I seems right since the jack is pushing against a very beefy crossmember above.

This is where I place the jack stands. I only have this set (rated for 6K lbs) but I'm going to get another set that hopefully has a flatter tops to rest against the frame and use these for the rear.

I lifted the rear by placing the jack under the rear differential and making sure it wasn't pressing against the raise section around the drain plug. I also have a hockey puck in there.

The jack stand location looks good as does the rear axle jack point. I also put jack stands under the rear axle tubes. I put the jack for the front on the rear of the front skid plate in the center. It looks like in the picture you are at the rear of the second skid plate but I may be wrong.

Looks good. I also use jack stands under the rear axle. I jack from under the frame on each side by the trans crossmember but your jack may not have the same lift height as mine. In that case, lifting from the center, as you are doing is fine. Always take the time to double check the stands/jack before you go underneath.

Thanks for the quick reply guys. Yep, I just got back from Autozone after picking up another set of jack stands so I can place them under the rear axle tubes as well.
[MENTION=336]03_4x4Runner[/MENTION] that's exactly right the jack is at the rear of the second skid plate. I'll take a look again at the rear of the front skid plate. In looking at the diagram I linked on my original post that seems to be the spot that is indicated on there. I found multiple diagrams, nothing specifically labelled for a 2013, and that is why I wasn't sure.

Our 4Runners are tall, a set of 6 ton jack stands may be better and safer.

When only doing an oil and filter change, I don't put it on jack stands, I just slide under, a little tight, but easier than messing with jacks and stands.

[MENTION=107824]RodRunner[/MENTION] be sure to use a set of wheels chocks and set the parking brake on the rear wheels too, I second the suggestion for a set of wide base 6ton stands
