Quentin - Great pictures, the Blizzard White looks fabulous. I'm planning to finally shoot off some pictures this weekend.

The one picture of your wife jumping up in front of the 4R reminds me of the old Toyota commercials - "Oh-oo-oh Whatta Feeling - Toy-o-ta". Am I right about that particular shot? I have an old picture somewhere of me doing the jumping up in front of my (then) brand new 1986 Toyota SR5 4x4 truck, as if in a Toyota commercial.

What a good week you've had- new T4R and the Mountaineers are in the Final Four! I'll be cheering for WV tonight [no ties to the school, my Gators made their expected early exit . . .] because I'd rather see them win than Duke.

Yeah, it has been an exciting few weeks. Tough being a mountie, though. We can't seem to put games away or just make silly errors to keep the other team in it (steal the ball and make a wild pass that goes out of bounds). Don't know if we'll get away w/ sloppy play against Duke. Tough on the heart. haha

So, the discount w/ my employee pricing is just under $5k when comparing MSRP (out the door) to my pricing (out the door). Stupid question, and if I do enough research on the thread I could probably figure it out--I'm not entirely sure, was this a custom order, or something that was close to what you were looking for that just happened to be coming into the dealership?

Second to that, when do dealer advertising badges get applied? I see Love Lexus Toyota. Personally, I do not want any badges and I'd like, if at all possible, to try and avoid the dealer putting their name on it other than maybe a license plate holder that I can remove! I know each one is different and the dealer I'm getting it from is not known to badge up their vehicles but I thought I'd ask.

I did a custom order w/ the convenience package added and missing some of the other "fluff". I called about 45 days later asking what the status was because I was getting ACL surgery soon and was hoping to have it within a couple weeks. He said it was still several months out so he did a search for cars that fit my order. This one was pretty much spot on, so I told him to claim it.

I normally ask them not to put the badge on, but forgot on this on. It is just adhesive, so I'll remove it within a couple weeks (hair dryer, dental floss, goo-gone). Most dealers add them by default, but you can always ask to remove it. I didn't even notice the badge until today, a full day later, haha.

You know, I thought it was a 60-40 split. It appears there is a handle for the center section alone. I'll see if I can get a pic for you tomorrow.

Wow quentin, you really got a sweet deal and those pics are just what I was looking for. I've got friends trying to talk me out of a new car but my 2wd 3rd gen needs replacement and damn if the 5th gen isn't just the truck to do it. Again, sweet ride and thanks for the pics!

The wife ran off to work this evening in the MINI, so I finally had a chance to get the 4Runner in the garage. Ohhh, it is a tight fit. I'm going to have to do some rearranging when my dad visits this week. Namely, the workbench that was built in when I bought the house is just too damn big. There is about 3" between the bumper and the bike seat.

Nice pic outside as the sun was getting low in the sky. The pearl really jumps out in lower light.

And finally, the 20 split requested above. Great for stashing crutches. haha

I pulled the MINI beside the 4Runner today. The size difference is absolutely comical. The mini roof barely reaches the bottom of the side windows. :lol:

Plus, my ceilings are like 16' in the garage. I need to sort something out. I like the setup I have for my mountain bikes the best, but it takes up so much wallspace. How much of a pain in the rear is mounting those pulley systems? Are they wife-friendly? The trek is my wife's bike.

I think I see a spec of mud/dirt on your front bumper! :wink2: I only say that cuz it's a couple of days in for you and the Blizzard Pearl is sooo nice and clean.

Question though--what are those 4 black dots on the back bumper? Parking sensors?

And furthermore, how the heck does the Limited come w/ everything except the parking sensors?! I would've appreciated those I'm sure.

Yeah, it is starting to pick up a little dirt. I had to get it in the garage tonight because it is supposed to rain tomorrow.

The black dots are parking sensors. I don't think the limited has them due to your massive rear view camera. Us SR5 guys have the smaller rear view mirror mounted screen.

No, I haven't driven it yet. Stupid doctor's orders. Having just ridden in it for 24 miles w/ the wife, I LOVE it. The whole truck has a great, quality feel to it, the bluetooth and ipod integration are seamless, the ride is smooth and quiet. Looking forward to 20 or so years w/ this thing. So happy w/ it.

It is an SR5 w/ premium package (blizzard pearl exterior, black interior), moonroof (no convenience package), backup camera, upgraded stereo.

Any pic requests, for those of you playing the waiting game, let me know. We'll be doing a small photo shoot tomorrow.

I am in the same boat kinda. I put the first 1000 miles on my TE and I cant drive now cause i had knee surgery last week. I hate sitting in the passenger seat. But anyways nice T4R!!:bravo::bravo:

Nope. We only went to my inlaws and we took the MINI. There is another BP SR5 running around the valley, though. When I was going into the hospital to get my surgery, it was in the parking garage.

I have never noticed the rainbow colors in the showroom at Love. I was just in there last Sunday too trying out a Venza for the fiance...shows how much attention I pay :nerd:

BTW: I may have read this, but do you work at the plant there in Buffalo? I noticed you said "with your employee discount" when you laid out what you paid. (Just curious - I worked on the bridge for the new 35 right across the river after college when I still worked for the DOH)

Love actually just got ride of the rainbow paint within the past 4 months. I was in there looking for a Tacoma for my dad and they had the place torn to peices.

Yup, I'm at the Buffalo plant. I'm going on 5 years now. Great place to work.

I've heard that they are great to work for at the Buffalo plant. I have a couple of cousins that work there as well and they seem to enjoy it from what they have said.
