Question about Aux Input

I am FINALLY getting my 2006 LE T4R tomorrow. I have a question about the Aux input in the center console. I have searched all night for topics on it, but I am not finding anything really specific.
My question is...what all can I do with it? Are there iPod converters that plug into it instead of the back of the HU. I have the 6 disc JBL Synthesis 10 speaker set up.

you should go to radioshack or similar and pick up a Male to Male mini jack wire, and use it to plug it into the plug in the console and the other end into the headphone jack of any Mp3 player
