Question about LBJ Recall

Howdy Guys,

I have read bits and pieces about Toyota issuing a recall on certain year models and VIN lots of vehicle that are eligible (or were eligible) for replacement LBJ.

First, is there a time limit for getting the work done (assuming that this applies to my vehicle)?

Can someone show me a thread or two that addresses the topic in full?

Thanks Much!

If your VIN matches with any of the affected vehicles, you may bring your 4Runner to any Authorized Toyota dealership and the recalled parts will be replaced, free of charge. (So long as they are factory, obviously.)

Here is some info from another thread about the LBJ Recall:

LEGEND:
VDS = digits 4-8 of your VIN
Range = last 7 digits of your VIN.

Here is one of the threads:

Yes you can get them recalled still, BECAUSE it's a safety thing. You can also call Toyota give them your VIN and they will tell you if it has ever been done.
