Hey guys, T4R newbie here...

I am thinking about putting spacers on when I get my new tires and I want to know if they affect ride comfort or steering at all?

Thanks!

Toytec lifts

Hi and welcome.
First, spacer do not change the steering.
Spacers are a great option if your stock spring and shock are in good condition. They are great to check out if you like the lifted look/feel. They are way less than replacing the entire coil over.
The ride might firm up a little bit, but realistically, when you raise the center of gravity of you vehicle, you want something that will keep your body roll to a minimum, which spacer , a firmer spring, etc will help that.

Are you wanting to level the 4runner or lift both front and back?

Here are some spacers we carry.

It's an 08 SR5 stock. I was going to add spacers before doing a lift, is that a bad idea?

Are you referring to Spidertrax wheel spacers? Like member J.A.'s?

For a lift there are (from least to most expensive): spacers, replacement (taller) coils, or adjustable coil-overs.

Does any of those spacers above be installed with my XREAS?

Spacer lifts, i.e. ToyTec, Daystar, Cornfed, etc., is the preferred way to go if you want to retain X-REAS.

It doesn't matter if you have X-REAS or not for wheel spacers.
