Question for those of you who sent your lights to Lightwerkz

How did you send in your headlights to get modified? I'm trying to do this but I don't have a spare car.

For those of you who bought a second pair of headlights, how much did it cost? I'd hate to spend money on something thats going to sit in my garage as soon as I get my lights back from Lightwerkz.

How long did it take for you to get your lights back?

I sent my lights in, but had a second vehicle. If i were you, i would purchase everything from TRS and call Andrew at TRS to do them. Cesar does great work, but his prices have gotten out of control in my opinion.

I personally bought a brand new set of OEM headlights from Sparks Toyota and had them shipped directly to Light Werkz. From the time they received it (a Wednesday) it took them until the following Monday evening to finish the retro-fit and get them shipped. However, it really depends on their workload. I happened to catch them in between some major projects so it was a surprisingly quick turn-around. I would expect for them to have it 5 business days just in case.

I am about to sell my OEM headlights with about 1,500 miles on them if you're interested (no chips, cracks, or scratches). Brand new you're looking at $422 shipped at the cheapest. I'm thinking I'll probably sell for $300.

I almost wish i would have bought a set of OEM ones and tried to practice the Retrofit on the other pair first, haha. But I think thats what I will eventually do with my 02 4Runner.

Bought oems off this Forum, sent to LW, etc. Excellent experience.

As to Lightwerkz vs others - so far I, and several others have spoken to their excellent work quality. For a few hundred $$, I'll take the best.

Mine are there right now, I should have them back next week sometime. Ill post up some pics when i get them back.

When I sent my 06 WRX lights in to LW, i had them wire in the HID's, as they already have projectors, added LED's on the bottom, and requested 55w ballasts. Received 35W ballasts, LED's failed after 30 days, and the drivers side headlight would not turn on every time. I would have to turn it on and off a couple times for it to kick on.

With that being said, as soon as i called him, he overnighted the correct Wattage Ballasts, and paid shipping on the lights when the LED's failed, and put in CCFL rings free of charge. So he back's his product 100%, but when i Pay $600 for the kit, install and LEDS, seems a little expensive to have to send the lights in that many times. Again, If i had the $1000 to retrofit the lights I would do it, but why if you can get the same if not better from Andrew at TRS..... just my opinion.

It can be done during the retro-fit. I didn't install them on mine, but I believe Light Werkz charges $250 for parts & labor on that.

Yes we offer angel eye's on all of our projector conversions.

Cost is $110 extra per set of rings mounted/wired. We directly solder all connections to minimize water related failures, and prewire to factory parking light wiring when possible. We also loom all the connections for a factory OEM look.

Im not sure the high beam is doable because of its odd shape, unless you have a CCFL tube designed for this exact application.
