Question/ Mudflaps

Curious to know if anyone has thought of replicating the rare SR5 front mudflaps that complete the Black Sr5 flares. Passenger side ones are still out there, so is there a way to scan the passenger flap for measurements and yada yada and then reflect those measurements thus creating the drivers side flap. Follow me? The passenger side flap is identical to the driver side flap so just reversing/reflecting the measurements would create the driver side flap that are impossible to come by. I am OCD and that gap is driving nuts.

Not a very good pic, but why not just use the aftermarkets? They seem to fit great (with a little fit trimming) and definitely do a great job keeping mud off the sides of the truck. Other than being rare, what is it about the OE's that make them so desirable? Just seems that people are overthinking mud flaps when they insist on originals.

Without flaps I couldn't even drive with my window open in slush like this.

The black SR5 flares don't come all the way down to the bottom of the fender, the factory flaps fill the gap that's left.

Sorry I was a little vague, but I know the highlands work for the other flares. I'm talking about the skinny black ones. Those aftermarket ones still won't fill the gap from fender to rocker panel.

I looked at your build thread and now I know which flares your talking about. I have the same and bought mine about 5 years ago from the stealership in Bellingham WA. Here is the part# PT41335966DF. Even though its discontinued its worth a call around to dealers in your area and HOPEFULLY someone will have it.

No dealer has these, there are multiple threads all asking the same thing. I got lucky about a year ago when another member put his up for sale on here for $160. He just tried to buy them back from me recently, I respectfully declined.

Hi all, I've been using the site for info and input since before purchasing my 98 in March, but I've only posted a couple of times. I'm a product designer and have the know-how to reproduce these driver's side flaps using a passenger's side as a model. But, of course, that will cost some money and so I need to gather people who want these to help pool funds to create the part files, tool, and production.

I want to start a new thread about it to gauge interest and post updates but I'm probably 12 posts shy of the minimum to do so still. So ANYWAY, this post helps, but please comment back if you want one of these driver's side flaps that flush up with the skinny 3rd Gen SR5 flares. I've pulled a set of the flares from a salvage yard and reaaally want to put them on, but won't until I can find both flaps to match!

Soo bringing an old thread back to life- I have a set of these mud flaps just sitting and am thinking of selling them. They won't fit now that I have sliders on.

Before I post in the classifieds, what do you think is a fair price for these? I don't want to rip anyone off but also am aware they are no longer available and very hard to find.

Looking for input from y'all. Thank you!

Here comes the feeding frenzy!

I bought mine from a member of the forum 2 years ago, paid $115 for the pair. I've seen them go for between $115 and $200.
You definitely won't have trouble selling them.
