Quick XREAS Question

Can someone confirm whether or not xreas on the 5th gens is independent of the vehicle's electronics? It's a long story but I may be finding myself in a new limited and want to make sure taking xreas off isn't going to throw codes or light the dash up. Specific search results only dealt with 4th gens. Thanks.

X-REAS removal will not throw any codes when removed, nothing needs to be updated anywhere in techstream, etc.

It will not throw codes, but it might throw fluid! Make sure to look up the instructions in order to find the correct location to take it off. (at the check valve and not the shock body)
