Rack Question

Does anyone know where I find/part numbers for the clips that go in the front and back of the roof rails. I broke mine installing my yakima.

I replaced my passenger side front cap when I bought my T4R a few months ago. I went straight to the Toyota parts counter at a local dealer, it was reasonable enough I didn't bother getting it from one of the online OEM parts retailers. Their search engines can sometimes be troublesome to navigate and I did not have a part # like you.

I'm at work right now so no access to my receipt with part # on it.

You need one of each on each side. The B one is front left and C is back left, but it's giving me a headache figuring out which goes where on the right and they don't show it. I think it's the opposite.

Wait, that's the piece that the thingy sticks into. Gimme more time.

EDIT: Sorry, that's all I got. The rack itself is not in my listing, just what it screws into. Weird.

End caps are held on by a single screw, t25 torx head and are keyed into the rack- only go in one way. Mentioning because it's a lot easier getting them out using the proper tool.

On the parts search engine I used I get

Part Number "00278-35967" was found for Toyota , but we could not verify the part fits the selected vehicle.

for my 2000 4runner, probably why I and others could not find the part # easily

Right Front is the one I bought, and it fits. I just started typing in numbers close to that one and got 00278-35967 for the left.

Now to me, the front left looks the same as the rear right as well the front right and rear left, but I cannot confirm or find part #s for the rear ones specifically. If you have at least one of the four caps left you could try it on its diagonal location and see if it fits for sure.

I have two 62789-3510 clips for the roof rack that a parts place sent. I needed for but the other two the parts place sent are 62759-35010. They are a bit smaller and I'm not sure what they're for. As for the 62789-3510, are they specific for left and right or front and back? They look like they fit for all 4 spots in the roof. My question is I don't think I can use the 62789's so should I order another package of 62789's as I need 4.

I bought a set of 4 on EBay, paid a pretty penny, but it was the only place I could find them
