A few people put e-fans in just because of this issue. An e-fan you can cut power to if a switch is wired in. You can't turn off the mechanical fan.

Excellent point. Just make sure you turn it back on as soon as you're out of the water.

I think the bad thing about this fan is it gets rid of the fan clutch..

EngineMasters dyno tested a metal fan with no clutch, a metal fan with a clutch, and the flex fan you linked above. The metal fan with a clutch had the least amount of power loss when compared to no fan at all. The flex fan was also very flimsy and they made a point to show that on the episode.

LCE sells a lot of quality parts but they do have some gimmicks listed for sale. The flex fans as well as the throttle spacers for the EFI motors like ours are some of them.

Well.....I had a 1970 Buick Riviera GS with a 455 and the Kenne-Bell Flex Fan was one of the best cheap upgrades I did. Kept it cool at the red light at low RPMs and robbed less HP at speed.
