SH*T HAPPENS UPDATE!

.....sound couldn't be duplicated at Bobby's shop...and the suspension bits checked out ok.

Not sure what the deal was but I appreciate everyone's help, concern, and tools while at Rausch. Hopefully it doesn't happen again!

Also, you guys can flame [MENTION=68685]Ducmonsta[/MENTION] bc apparently he had my 4Runner flexed out on a forklift in order to get the suspension completely compressed and he didn't even bother to take a picture!

We could have used that picture to post on all of the "Is KDSS better?" threads lol

Update to the update - posted in another thread but the pass side UCA is now snapped. I'm not sure if what we heard was the beginning of the UCA welds failing but another LR UCA bites the dust....sigh

That sucks, they really have problems with their product. Mine was to short and it was shifting back and forth, yours snaps, what is next? I hope they will replace yours with new ones, although i would be asking for the money back to buy other UCA.

I've had my LR's for about 20k now and these failures are starting to concern me. I've checked mine and all looks good now but I'm thinking I should be proactive and consider a change before they break.

Can you post a couple of pics of the failure? Did they fail in the same manner as Limamike's and SoCal's?

Lima's haven't failed as far as I know - it was my driver side that failed last year. This is my passenger now that has failed. They have replaced both under warranty and are now replacing the set with the new design.

The fail is at the same weld I posted of my driver's side and the picture SoCal has posted.

Damn. If I were you I'd ask for money back, or just cut your losses and go with a proven TC/Camburg/Icon uni-ball design and never look back.

Over 55K on my Camburg UCAs now, replaced the bushings + uni-balls about 10K miles ago and they're good as new.

absolutely. I would not feel confident running their product anymore.
