RCI Gas Tank Skids

I recently had a discussion with RCI about 3rd Gen gas tank skids. They do have a version ready for us, but have not released it due a possible demand problem. After a little discussion, they would be interested in running a special buy for us.

I just need to see how many people would be interested in getting one of these. The more the better chances of this happening.

RCI and I are getting ready to hold another Group Buy around the end of October. I recently asked Josh if he had any intentions of coming out with a gas tank skid for 3rd Gen's. As we all know there is only 1 option for an aftermarket skid.

I talked with Josh, and he told me that he has been working on one for a 3rd Gen. He didn't have a firm date as to when these were going to be release, and didn't really know how much interest there was in these.

What do you guys think? May if we can generate enough interest we may have a chance to get these released. Let me know what you think, and I'll give that information to Josh.

I'm also hoping to get some spy pictures if these if they're available.

Hope they add a cut out to avoid driveshaft contact.

Interested in 3rd gen skid in alum. Josh developed 3rd gen skids on daughter's 4Runner and had to put off doing the fuel tank skid due to other time demands, etc. Been hoping for one since but understand there are other items and designs that have higher demand than a 3rd gen fuel tank skid for RCI.

I knew about Lil' Skips, but I've never even been on Shrockworks site. Never heard anything about their tank skid either. Plus, it's always nice to have more the 2 options.

I knew about Lil' Skips, but I've never even been on Shrockworks site. Never heard anything about their tank skid either. Plus, it's always nice to have more the 2 options.

A couple things about Shrockworks fuel tank skid. Only available in steel and with powdercoating is $370.

The RCI fuel tank skid is $280 in Aluminum for FJ and I am hoping 3rd Gen will be priced similarly since it is nearly same size as FJ but I suppose that all depends on how difficult it is to make.

I was going to wire wheel & POR15 my stock skid but if we can get an aluminum one in the fall I'd rather go that route.
