RCI Metalworks - TRD Skid Integration Plate Installed!

just installed aluminum skids and i measured for the ground clearance. most of them shows less than 8 inches. It has become a mini van with a little lift mod. I didn't measure before installing. does anyone else here have similar ground clearance space?

I have concerns as well. if you take the support brackets off of the second crossmember you can get 1/2" back, but I worried about loosing strength. The C4FAB installation videos I have seen say to remove those. Does anyone have an opinion?

The C4FAB integrated engine skid plate is made of steel and has a notch cut out
that is plated for clearance, it seems to be a little higher. it cost more but I have seen it with free shipping.

I started with RCI and I am happy with their products.

Yes... Still is MUCH better protection. Aluminum is honestly fairly useless for actual offroad use.

I decided to paint the raw aluminum black. Even though the TRD skid looks like raw aluminum it has a silver powder coat on it.

Now I feel a lot safer crossing creeks. Took less than an hour. fit prefect.
